now hes saying he just had the intake cleaned up a bit ? so ball parking it how much hp would he be pushing ?
-
ya but for a stock crank just pretty much be bolted the cub in the cub right out of the box cant be pushing 100 hp ? can it ? and it has a trail port not a full drag ?
-
alright theres a kid that has another banshee around here and he claims that his banshee ( a 392 cub full drag port and 34mm carbs stock crank) is pumping out 70 hp and he says he can get over 100 hp out of that engine .,. is this bull $hit or is this true . i called bull on this kid can any one back him up or is he all smoke and mirrors ?

does any one know if a set of asr a-arms plus 2 up 1. will work on a yfz 450 ? and if not how much do you think i could get for them ? and could some one list the price roughly for these other items (banshee) trinity pipes dura blue axle +2-2 asr a arms +2 up 1 thanks so much -scott

im going to be doing both kinds of riding competitively flat track and oval. and i have some tight wood trails around here so the 450 would be the best bet. and ya i really dont want to get rid of the shee cause they haul ass on the top end but for cost wise a 450 is good choice. and ya i would never get a 300 ex i had a 400 and got sold to buy the shee.
-
the mods im running on it asr plus 2 up 1 a arms . dura blue x 33 axle lowering kit . twist throttle. nerfs. pod filters. trinity pipes.. but for what im racing and wanting to race i think the 450 will be better cause around here atv racing is starting to dye and not to many racers are comming out so i think im going to let my good old shee go and look for a 450

ok guys hears the deal. i race flat track the 1/4 and 1/2 mile track. should i keep the shee dump another 2000 on a engine kit from dasa with power valves or sell the shee and go yfz 450. i can prob get my shee sold for 4500-5000. and go for a yfz . cause i do more or less flat track. and i want to try and do mx and some trails. so what should i do guys and im looking for honest non bias reply and this is going to be the last or season last year i ride befor i go off to university...

hey buddy if you still thinking of doing flat track i would suggest going with body armor instead of one of thoes small plastic chest protectors. i have the 661 and i dont feel save with out it on the track at thoes speeds
-
this is just my 2 cents but i dont think it would be the oil. i only run r 50 and never have any problems with anything .. but still just my 2 cents

not to steal HDyfz450 post but i see alot of flat tracker are running -2 swing arms does this really make a difference or can some body explain this ?

-

even with a arms suspension and sway bar you will have a really good machine that handles the flat track but just my 2 cents -

the basic set up is all your really need for a flat track style race ( oval ) is + 2 up 1 arms. axle. sway bar. good set of flat track tires ( Hoosiers) or anything else. ( i run with lowering kits (crj) front and rear and slam it to the ground ( i dont have a sway bar on it )) and with these basic mods you should have a half descent bike on your hands. -
maybe on the strip but in a 1/2 an 1/4 mile oval the ltr destroyed a 421 cub ( but then again it doesnt matter how much you have done to your bike .. it all depends on the rider.. ) but eah just my two cents ...

+2 tie rods length...ASR..LSR...etc...
wiecha17 replied to wacko2000's topic in General Banshee Discussion
good to hear buddy .. im glad you got it figured out .. there sweet a arms once you got them dialed in but it takes some tweaking to get them going good.. -
could you give me a rough price on what it costs to port a set of cylinders im not worried about turn around time i got all winter so im more or less looking for the best price and a good name to back it up with..?
-
no MJ at my local 1/4 mile oval track .. i know he has the basic mods on the 450 but thats all he tells me but all i know is that thing rips $hit on the track .. if you dont think it could, you should come out for your self and be beside it on the line ...
-
i have only seen one ltr 450 on the track beside me once . and it blew my doors off. but i got an 03 with pipes and K&N pods. ( only engine mods) and those pull hard another member banshee04 i think has a 421 cub in his shee and he got smoked. ya the ltrs are super quick bike .. from what i have seen i dont think you will win. just my 2 cents but if you do race hope he misses a gear or has a really bad take off .
