  1. 55 gallon drum of 110 octane. How much did that set you back??
  2. Kevin is awesome, he built my motor. I got a trail/woods port with a cool head. Kevin is great to work with, his customer loyalty is the greatest. You will not be disappointed going with Kevin.
  3. So i'm getting 100 low lead otane fuel from the airport. There's a carquest that sells turbo blue, 110 otane about an hour from the house.
  4. What octane do i need to be at with my cylinder's having 185psi?????
  5. Thanks, ya i cant figure out why i'm getting that high of compression either.
  6. Kevin Jerr built my motor, Jaylee Noss @ Noss Machine is cutting my domes. Its for a 4mil stroker with a standard rod lenth without a base gasket.
  7. Hey fellow, I just got my motor back together with my 2nd set of domes. My first ones gave me a 195 psi, i took them out and put in a larger 21cc dome and now i'm getting 185psi. My question is....Is 185psi to much compression for 100 octane???
  8. What's your size on the pilot jet????? Just curious, i'm having bogging issues as well.
  9. Stock carbs, 30pilot, 2 on the needle clip and 340 mains
  10. I've got the 4mil crank with standard rod lenth not the 795 series piston. There's not a plate at the bottom of the cyclinders, Kevin said he had the domes special cut for the 4mil crank i wouldn't run into the leakage problem with that plate everyone's talking about. I've tried all kinds of different jets. Is it possible that to much compression would cause a issue that would resembles a jetting problem. Want about Pre-detonation, would that be a factor.
  11. I have talked with Kevin about the compression. He's going to send me some more domes, size 21. I asked him about the squish and he said he checked it and it was ok. I'm having low end bog issues. I've tried everything from 25 to 30 pilots and moved the needle clip several places. I've moved the time plate adjustment from 0 to 5 plus degrees, still get the same results. What issues will high compression cause???
  12. Kevin Jerr built my motor and it doesn't have a spacer plate. He had to special cut my domes, it has 20+2 etched on my domes.
  13. Hey guys... My bike has 190psi compression in each cylinder. I'm running 100 octane with 20cc domes, advanced 5 degrees on the timing. I've had alot of stuff done to this bike. It has a vito 4mil crank bored 100over with a trail port. I'm having a really hard time getting the jetting right on this bike. Could this high compression be causing the problem/faking a carb issue. I have a set of 21cc domes coming so i can get the compression down.
  14. I picked some up at this place http://www.newageindustries.com/tubehose.asp I talked with a sells rep. and told them what i was looking for and what i was planning on doing. He sent me a 6ft. sample for free. Great place. Try them....
  15. Ya i dropped the needle to the 4th notch and it ran really rich at mid throttle
  16. I haven't done a leak down test, but i have checked for air leaks around the intake. I've changed the plugs serveral times to to them going bad because of the rich condition on bottom.
  17. OK fellows, I've tried everything I Know but still running rich on bottom end. I'm currently running the stock carbs, pilot-25, air screw 3 turns out, needle on 3rd clip position and 320 mains. I'm running a K&N filter in a air box with a K&N air filter box lid. The machine still bogs at low end with lid, with filter lid and lid removed all together. The middle and top end are good. Heres a list of mods: 4 Mil vito crank, bored 80 over, cool head with 19cc domes(190psi), port and polished trail port by Kevin Herr, delta 3 reeds, aluminum intake with built in cross over tube, pro motion twist throttle, +4 timing plate. The delta reeds are right up against the back of the engine(intake), then the aluminum intake with built in tubes, then the carbs. Do I need to put in spacers between the engine(intake) and the reeds so the gas will have time to burn. Would this cause a bog at low end. Thanks in advance.
  18. Try the adjuster on your handle bars at your throttle. That adjuster controls the height of the slides. if the adjuster is out to much, the slides will be to high. That would make one back fire. Maybe the problem.
  19. Ya i'm sorry, type ohhh. Its to rich. The stock pilot is 25, why would it be to rich...
  20. OK fellows, I've tried everything I Know but still running lean on bottom end. 21. I bought one about 1 month ago. I think there great. It does come with all the sensors you need. You had a question about the battery, just use a 9volt battery and wire tie it to the frame somewhere. The trail tech tech support guy gave me that idea. You might want to invest in a better aluminum holder, it only comes with a cheap plastic holder. I believe you can't go wrong with buying one.
  22. 4mil stroke, bored 80 over with cool head(19cc domes) Kevin Herr did my build, he ported and polished the cylinders for the aggresive trail port, woods riding. Bike has FMF SST pipes with 4+ on timing..
  23. Thanks guys!!!!! I bought a pair for the shee, I'm currenty going through a new build right now. I'm running stock carbs, wanting to keep all the low end as possible. I just ride the woods. I've decided not run the spacers, thanks for the info....
  24. I know how everyone feels about boost bottles(there shit). So I bought a intake with built in cross over tubes. So whats up the reed spacers, are they worth messing with. Are they a gain in anyway.
