  1. It's the most affordable Cub you can build as far as size for the HP. You can run a 4 mill crank with no case work. The 421 Cub was a heavy class favorite….till everyone got used to the power and jumped up to the 465 10 mill. Now everyone is taking the DM plunge. LOL
  2. Get out the clay or solder and know for sure……then you can move on to the next diagnosis. If the squish is tighter towards the piston center on the squish band than on the outer edge…then you have found your issue.
  3. So much for the poor church kids…..
  4. Who puts a +5 swing arm on a bike with a cylinder ported and piped for midrange motocross power? Every state has certificates of origin or titles. Certificates are used to get a title. Bill of sale is not proof of ownership. If you don't have papers…..YOU don't even own that bike. You just have possession of it. LOL Price is on the high side? Ya think?!?!
  5. Pretty sure this is the drag forum…… sounds like the OP is wanting to know about "Fully drag ported" for his "Drag bike only"……... vvvv So.…yeah…. In a drag….Cub > Cheetah Even if the cheetah is bigger.
  6. Yep. Just going off the picture....squish looks almost flat. = Convergence = Major detonation every time.
  7. With all the jetting attempts you have tried, I'd say this is starting to sound like a Trinity kit. LOL Gotta be the domes. Squish may be in the 50's...but if the shape has convergence....your going to get bad detonation.
  8. This product was a fail once they named it a "Smart" carb. Anything labled as smart is inevitably one of the dumbest designs in the industry. For all you HVAC guys out there......think Honeywell "Smart valve".
  9. Ok, well then I would agree with the dome/detonation as the likely suspect. With timing turned down and monster jets....it's gotta be a mechanical issue.
  10. LOL.......In that case, why not just keep your motor the same till it's so wore out that a tow strap is needed to start it?
  11. NICK!.....SSHHH Not so loud....aren't you still trying to sell your 485? Let's get that thing down the road before we go throwing it under the bus. LOL
  12. Maybe others can give some feedback on this one, but could the pipes be an issue? I was thinking the SB CPI's might be too small for a 421 in the dunes. If so the pipes could be backing heat into the motor on the WOT runs. Sorry I just can't remember the design cc's of the SB CPI's. But I thought the BB pipes were for 420+
  13. Everyone is so deadset on a new crank and making it a 4mill...... Nothing wrong with a nice 370 long rod motor. Strip your stock crank down, put on the longer rods and replace your bearings with top quality new ones. You'll never be the victim of a Wang crank.
  14. LOL TRUE THAT! ^^^^^^ But you know I'm not just talking about the basic Trinity kit. I threw a lot of cash and effort at my cheetahs to try to get them straightened out. End result......tore that shit down and sold it off. Bought a Cub and never looked back. My Cub is smaller and cheaper to build and re-build, yet makes more Hp and Torque.
  15. A ported 7 mill SS is a great combo. Very strong combo. Should be great for the riding your talking about.
  16. Great chassis! I have a metal tech +4 bike as well. This one has some pretty nice custom touches. Quality ride.
  17. It's worth $1000 because that's the most the last owner could get for it.
  18. I have (472 & 492) and I already told you....go with the Cub! A "properly set up Cheetah" will not make the power of a Cub even with the extra cc's. Anyone who wants to say it will.....dyno sheets or GTFO.
  19. Go with the Cub.
  20. Well who ever made that swing arm………that's one ugly piece of engineering.
  21. The cylinders on my 370 motor bike are at 66.75 and have been trouble free for 3 years of hard dune and dirt action. I know it's at the limits....but I'm just throwing that out there. I'd put all your money in a good bottom end with a 4mill crank and a modded tranny. Simple Vito's Super Stock pistons will get you great useable power for YOUR TYPE OF RIDING and when coupled with some FMF FATTY pipes and will get you basic ported cylinder power for the same cost as new replacement pistons. You will have enough power to put beatdowns on 450's yet keep a budget low enough to have cash for other things like some nice used WORKS shocks.
  22. Well we had a great time riding. We hit everythjng that wasn't under water and some that was. LOL No damage, no injuries, I never spun a wrench, the only work I did was unloading, fueling and loading. I consider that a perfect time. The weather ended up being WAY nicer than we were thinking it would be. (I even noticed I got some Sun on the back of my neck!) Had a great time riding with people as always. Another great gathering of the HQ crew.
  23. I got a new phone and lost some contacts. I just sent you a PM with my number. Send me a message when you can so I can save yours again.
  24. Wes, look for us so we can all gather and say hi. We'll be in my RED 96' lowered crewcab chevy pulling a red open trailer. Rollin Rino (Stan) should be right near us. Pete and his guys know my truck too.
  25. Do a search on the P.V. issues. I've posted plenty of info regarding why you should either go with a serval or a cub instead of the cheetah. "If done right" = spending twice as much to fix all the cheetah issues.
