  1. If you can drive around someone that left on you.......than THEY have down track issues.....or your not racing people that are competitive. NHRA Pro Stock cars are about as equally competitive as it gets and there ain't much passing. More often you see slow cars win on the holeshot! If you were racing in a competitive series, than you wouldn't be beating alky bikes and nitros bikes when you show up with a gas bike. If you can give up the holeshot and still run them down......then I will disagree with your assessment of your competitors talent. You have the talent to gear and clutch an underdog powerplant to a win. Or.....your competition has far too little talent at those same practices. Or it's a combo of both. Remember....not to long ago your motor was making only 97 Hp and you were talking about how well it ran. Now your making more. If you were winning with 97hp....than your competition is alot weaker than you think. Heck slowerthanyou posted his times with his 443 cub that turned out only made 97hp....but he has a hell of a clutch program and won with it. The point is....the motor ain't everthing. Your cheetah is working well....but it's not the reason for your success.
  2. LOL bidding war....
  3. Well an unported Cub on nitros should make more power than your motor without question. So your motor is running well (also without question) but if a Cub on nitros can't outrun you.....you give that guy too much credit. Your motor isn't winning the races....it's either your overall setup...or his. Obviously if your driving around someone who took you off the line....he's got issues. In competitive drag racing....passing isn't part of the game unless the other guy gives it away somehow.
  4. Well….warm water….there's a start. I don't have to pump a handle or run on a treadmill to get the water flowing do I? LMAO
  5. Yeah?…….. I sent a PM about them and haven't heard back yet.
  6. So this is a port-o-potty with a hole cut in the roof with some local holding a garden hose with his dumb over the end for you to rinse the thick filth off with some wet filth? You just stroll over to the showers wearing nothing but your sandals. Since everything is soaking wet and dirty, there is no place to set a change of clothes, a towel, or a shave kit….. It's just you, your sandals and a soap on a rope. (And the prying eyes of all the 1/4 Gay drunks)
  7. Get the F3 Pro Pack
  8. You said everything I needed to hear. (Back surgery) Buy the ELKA stage 5's and be done with it. They will be nearly identical the the AXIS, have the look you like, offer shaft protection and you'll never have to explain your shocks to anyone since ELKA is widely admired. There is a factory approved service center here in the U.S. so they don't have to go thru customs every time you need work done.
  9. Ok.....if I'm driving from Chicago and staying a week, I wanna at least take a shower every other day. Are these showers closer to being an outhouse? Do I need steel toe boots and a knife to defend myself from bugs and critters while showering? I have shower shoes (that's a given) but is this place nice....or just a cheap place to party?
  10. I HATED my Terry Cable. Motion Pro FTW! I run 1/2 heavy and 1/2 light with an 8-plate Hinson. A MotionPro cable and ASV F3 lever and it's fine for my wife's little hands.
  11. When I moved from a +6 arm to a +10 I called ELKA and they sent me a new stronger rate rear spring for $95 shipped. I was also told what to do as far as spring preload, compression and rebound adjustments. They ended up being almost spot on! I only went one click firmer on my compression to keep my rear end floating on the tops of the whoops.
  12. Hey Mike, I'm totally with you on that. You should feel great about how you are doing. I follow all your posts. You have changed your gearsets to adjust your final drive ratios, made big strides in your clutch tuning, done major research in your tire choices, etc. The facts are there. You're winning! Now the real issue in the Cub on NOS is just throwing power at the bike and doing none of the truly vital things needed to win. For example....An unported 421 cub can feel strong, yet have the wrong jetting and only be making 80HP. Jet it correctly and it can hit 95HP. Who is to say if that guy has a well tuned Cub BEFORE he hits the NOS? Who's to say the NOS is dialed in well? If his clutching is wrong he might be losing all his gains to bad clutch management. You are in a position to be proud of. You're beating Alky and NOS bikes and doing it on gas. (That has to piss them off. LOL) Plus you're doing it with your tuning talent. Those skills can go with you from bike to bike. Those other guys will just keep buying bigger and bigger motors to try to catch you since they don't have your crewchief skills.
  13. Look at it in a positive light Mike….you are out tuning the guys you're racing one way of another. (Chassis, clutch, tire, gear, etc.) It doesn't mean you can't be fast or win…..it just means your starting from a disadvantage. You're dragging almost 60cc's along for the ride and paying top dollar for the pistons to do it. I'm not bashing you or your motor. I'm only saying it's not the platform I would personally start with and I'm explaining why in detail. I'm glad you found success with your motor. Hell, remember when you were (strongly) telling me how bad ass it was back before you knew it was only making 90's for power? Now it's made a big jump and running even better. Nothing wrong with that.
  14. So here's your baseline 114.66 HP divided by 535cc = .214 HP per CC 63.23 TQ divided by 535cc = .118 TQ per CC Mailman's 492 Cheetah 104.47 HP divided by 492cc = .212 HP per CC 52.63 TQ divided by 492cc = .106 TQ per CC [ see how the HP ratios of the 4 mill closely match your 10 mill...but your 10 mill crank gives you more torque] http://www.atvdragracers.com/forum/attachments/dyno-results-33%3B/4488d1294295071-10mill-cub-gas-cub_10mill_gas_1.jpg Let's take this link from above and compare ^^^ 465 10 mill Cub on gas. 10 mill Cub baseline 112.21 HP divided by 465cc = .241 HP per CC 59.20 TQ divided by 465cc = .127 TQ per CC So if your Cheetah (with YOUR power ratios) was only as big as a 10 mill cub (465)….your motor would only make 99.51 HP and 54.87 TQ Yet, if that Cub motor (with the Cub power ratios) was as big as your Cheetah (535)…..it would be making 128.93 HP and 67.94 TQ So the math says (In THIS example) that the Cub motor makes 13% more HP per CC and 10% more torque PER CC than your Cheetah. (both on gas) See why everyone says the Cub is the best bang for the buck? The OP wanted to know if he should jump into a 4 mill Cheetah or run a 10 mill Cub…….my answer was based on fact not hate. A 10 mill cub would only need 11 more CC's (476) to match your big 535. And rebuilds are WAY cheaper…….NONE of what I just said is an opinion of mine. This is just basic math gathered from widely available facts. I even provided the link…….
  15. Spacer washer is in place behind basket?
  16. ModQuad is junk. LOL Cascade Ninja cover FTMFW
  17. 20 mill DM on a -1 swing arm with unsilenced OOF pipes with 18" MX tires…….and drag bars.
  18. Hey…where's the shitters and showers at this place? I don't see any bath houses on the campground map.
  19. My buddies Wes and Chris are not going to make it. A friend of theirs just knocked up his girlfriend…so now they are planning a quick wedding (on April 19th) and Wes and Chris got snagged into standing up in the bridal party. Oh well…..they ride a Raptor 700 and a Polaris 525 Outlaw. Bill and I will still be coming with the Banshees.
  20. Wow, Matt comes here while dealing with some VERY HEAVY life issues and makes the effort to clear everything up and clarify his point of view. ......and you guys wanna keep jabbing at each other? Thanks for the effort Matt. I have Elka dune editions and can't picture a shock working better for me. I DREAM of getting some Elka Stage 5's for my all purpose bike. But I completely understand and respect the AXIS endorsement. If YOU were going to be in the game and dishing out the advice when I was ready for that next set of shocks, I'm sure I would have you set me up with AXIS. I love my Elkas.......I just with they could do an anodizing job that didn't turn pink after a year or two..... Glad to hear from you again Matt. Good Luck with your battle.
  21. You can't tell how long it was in the ground. (Premium is selling less often in this down economy, so it sits longer) We had a guy who bought gas and rode....then the following weekend it needed a pull start to fire. Try fresh gas.
