  1. What the heck do you take it completely apart for anyway? Last time I saw it you just had a clutch issue. I could check my Clymers manual….but I'm pretty sure there is an easier way to change a clutch.

  3. Well there is at least hope. The good news is...it's still on all fours. Could be a raw frame waiting for powdercoat. THAT would be too far behind to make our trip. But if all you gotta do is slap that back together, that should be no problem. Give up on TV time for a month and your set. LOL

  5. That explains it!……Now I know where all the Sniper pipes are hiding. They all ran off to Canada till the HP war is over. How the hell does a set of Snipers end up in Canada on a bike that has next to nothing done to it? Well Will…..you're in a small selection of In-Frame Sniper owners. (I think you are maybe only the 5th member here with a set on their bike) Looks like that set of Snipers turned out to be a Conscientious Objector.
  6. And forget about running an air box. Your fine with what you have. Even better….get individual pod filters with Outerwear's. But your fine for now. Nice bike by the way. Much nicer than the "Average" machines around. The front suspension is really a great improvement.

  8. Remove entire TORS assembly. Get TORS eliminator kit and do that mod Clean carbs while off bike. (by "Clean" I mean the insides and all passages as well as the outsides. Note Main and Pilot jet sizes as well as Needle Clip settings and Airscrew settings as baseline info for future questions you're bound to ask later.) Get fresh throttle cable and lube it. Put that all back together. Sync the cabs so the slides move exactly evenly. Set idle Clean filer Ride Come up with next question and post
  9. False. If the filter got that wet it would choke airflow and the motor would just bog…not free rev. I've ridden down the entire River at the Badlands in Indiana with my pods and shaved front fenders. You wanna ride your machine like it's a jet ski……go buy a grizzly or any 4-stroke sport quad. NOTE: All factory air box designs limit power to around the the peak 30's in HP. If your bike makes any decent power….an air box just kills all it's potential. The Airbox/Filter setup is just another of those lousy factory items you should all remove….like the entire TORS assembly, front brake disk guards, coolant overflow system, parking brake, factory swing arm and carrier, key, narrow front stance, front dumbo ear fenders and the fender braces, factory pipes, head, etc…..
  10. That's odd.......I had a 400ex and we ran yamaha hubs since all the tires we had were yamaha pattern. And GOMEZNITRO or NITROGOMEZ had a buddy on last years Badlands HQ ride that had a honda axle on his banshee and needed Yamaha hubs to run some tires he borrowed. I brought him spare Yamaha hubs and they worked great. My 400ex had an aftermart axle and needed a few washers to get the hub tight....but a few washers from Ace Hardware did the trick. I don't know what else to tell you. Sorry....I was 100% sure it would work.
  11. Banshee hubs fit on a honda. Just mount yamaha hubs.

You really won't find more power for less money. Plus it allows you to save cash so making a leap to even more power will be affordable down the road.

  20. Yeah your stock head pipes are killing you. A mild bolt-on Banshee can walk almost anything if you buy parts that work well together. That's why I posted that link to the Dyno section. That combo is VERY potent and has minimal money in it. I ride the Badlands too…….Where you at?

  22. Well…..If you think the e85 is the way to go….it's your bike and that is a way to go…... But I wouldn't go that route. The DMC plan is good. Get any good all round pipe with spark arrestors like a DMC or FMF Fatty with TurboCore silencers. I'm one of the few here who speaks positively of the single carb choice….But ONLY the Graydon design. The Billet intakes are junk. With so few mods….your plan is all the typical bigger is better mentality. You can make over 70HP with stock carbs. You would be better just getting a good exhaust, keep the stock carbs, by some V-force 4 reeds, either by a cool head with higher compression domes or combine that with some mild porting or some Vito's Super Stock pistons for a 7+ HP boost. The Nitrous idea is just really not the way to go at all. (In my opinion, nitrous on Banshees is for a 90% drag bike.)
