  1. I remove the radadiator hose where it goes into the side of the engine on the right hand side and pop the rad cap. It will come gushing out. I use "the green stuff" any brand should work.
  2. 1. Place oil pan under quad 2. Remove drain plug located on bottom of motor 3. Let oil drain until it slows to a drip. 4. Replace drain plug 5. Remove dipstick located on right side of engine 6. Pour in oil about 1500 cc. Check with dipstick. When checking oil level do not thread in. 7. Replace dipstick 8. Run for a few minutes 9. Check oil level
  3. I was going to try a fast clutch but if it is not enough, I would just be wasting $100. This clutch was purchased while I was at the dunes hoping it would fix the problem. It did not. I would have rather had a fast clutch but all they had were toomeys.
  4. Why do you want to stay local. I would send them out to a reputable builder. People only have good things to say about site sponsors like kevin and jeff.
  5. I took my serval out over the weekend and was drag racing at silver lake. The drag is set up so the start is in very wet sand. The motor ran great. The clutch on the other hand was not so great on the drags. It could not hold the power. I currently am using a toomey clutch with 100% stiffer springs. (Not the easiest to pull) So.. when I got home I ordered my lock up. I am going back in two weeks and will report back on how I like it with the lock up.
  6. I had a dune ported cylinders and about the same elevation and I think that my jetting was somewhere in the 350-370 on the mains and the 3rd position. Just based on my experience that seems kind of lean on the main and the needle. I also had t-5's which i have heard are similar to the trinitys.
  7. I would highly recomend getting it ported. It is a very nice power gain and if the cylinders are getting bored this is the perfect time because they are already off.
  8. Why do you want/need to bore? You only bore it when it is needed. It is done to get the scratches out of the cylinders. You only can get so many bores out of the stock cylinders. So save them dont try and get power by making it a bigger bore on the stock cylinders. When you bore it it will be like a fresh motor again and return the power to what it should be. In no way would it hurt the performance. When you do a clean up bore you actually gain like 3cc or 6cc (dont feel like figuring it out) depending on how much is bored but you probably wont notice a power gain from the displacement increase.
  9. I have also heard trinity domes are bad. The squish angle is wrong or something. Can't remember. I haver heard many complaints about there domes. I personally would not get trinity domes.
  10. What kind of riding
  11. I have a chariot head and lost one of the acorn nuts so when I rebuilt it and reinstalled the head I used the a stock nut. The only one that leaked was that one. I replaced it with an acorn and it stopped leaking. A little sealant on the threads would do the trick also if you dont want to use the acorns.
  12. You will see a noticible increase in low to mid range power.
  13. I watched the video on my phone so I could not see the screen that great but can you tell that it says "mph" how do we know that it is not set to km/h which is like 70 mph.(I think) The video looks like 70 mph to me.
  14. Degree keys are not a good idea. They are known to shear off. Get the timing plate it is worth the extra $15.
  15. Check the for sale section. There are always pipes for sale there. Probably could pick some up for around $200-$250. To advance your timing you will need an after market timing plate. I bought a cast one on ebay for like $35 shipped I think. (It was a while ago) It works great. You will need to buy a flywheel puller to get your flywheel off. They are like $10. The mod is definately worth it.
  16. Or falling out of an airplane.
  17. There is just the wear marks on the sides of the one pistons. No major damage. Everything is 0.030" over or 64.75 mm.
  18. What kind of riding are you doing? I think +2 is plenty for duning. I as going to do +3 and the guy at wicked talked me out of it and I am happy he did. I ice race on an oval track in the winter and the +2 work great.
  19. I have 33 mm pwks and they have 3 vents per carb. You should put hoses on them so dirt and water can't get in. But they don't go anywhere specific.
