  1. thanks for the help guys, i'll buy those boots and start hacking up my airbox. i will let you know how it turns out. with regards to the compression i dont know of any where i can get race gas so would using an additive to boost the octaine help or am i going to have to get 22cc domes??
  2. i'm very close to sea level just to let you know, if it's a factor for the compression
  3. is there boots available for my purpose or do i have to make something up? if there is where can i get them? also is 170psi to much compression for pump gas? it's a freshly built 421 cub, noss head with 21cc domes, vf3 and 35mm pwk's. ( i need the airbox as it's always raining here in ireland ) any help or advice welcome, thanks guys
  4. that is one slick shee, color combo is awesome. nice work
  5. ya jeff does ship international, i got a 421 cub kit sent to ireland. reasonable shipping rates and great to deal with
  6. half cut is the way to go. i cut mine about half an inch out from the angle on the flat part and liked it so much i took a couple of inches off the back too. on the the plus side it's not so obvious that mine had been rolled (several times) with the faded fenders gone
  7. try dave moore racing
  8. it does not matter they are all basically the same except the very early models had a j-arm frame instead of a-arm. you should go for the best condition one your budget will allow. but if this is to be a project bike you might want to save some money and buy a beaten up one and use the extra cash to buy some good parts, virtually everything except the frame can be upgraded. but be warned, once you start it is incredibly hard stop
  9. i bet that was fun
  10. thanks for the info, i actually was planning on porting my own 375cc stock stroke motor but it's pretty hard to find someone here in ireland who does porting not to mention has experience with banshees and i am more sort of what you'd call a bolt on mechanic so this was the best option
  11. thanks for the info
  12. i want big power but dont want every bit of it to be in the peak rpm. sort of a balance, basically i ride all sorts of terrain from rough trails to public roads but i love having power, you know what i mean
  13. who sells the cpi exhaust, because whatever i buy it will have to be from someone who ships to europe
  14. i didn't call jeff because of the massive time difference, i am in ireland
  15. i ride a bit of everything so a good all-round exhaust for this setup would be better for me than an absolute peak hp drag exhaust. but i ride mainly with 450 dirtbikes so i am a little bit tired of eating roost hence the bump up in cc. i think i will go with the dual 35s. i'm also runnin a shorter swinger but i'm only 160lbs, will i have wheelie issues
  16. basically i have a cheetah cub kit 68mm bore, 4mil wiseco crank and a f.a.s.t head on the way from jeff at f.a.s.t. i'm currently running a trinity 2 into 1 35mm keihin and fmf gnarlys. it's for trail and mx type riding (midrange) what should i go for? cost is not an issue
  17. i have cheetah cub 68mm bore 4mil crank and a f.a.s.t head being shipped all the way over here to ireland from jeff at f.a.s.t so what are the best carbs and exhuast to run for trail and mx type use (strong midrange) i'm currently running fmf gnarlys and a trinity 2 into 1 35mm keihin
  18. i run 15 - 40 on mine, for my shee it's the best balance and sometimes a 38 on the rear when i'm heading for the beach
  19. i run a magura hydraulic clutch and even with hd springs it's easy to pull, a bit costly though
  20. the kit i bought is UPP, you will find it on ebay. the swingarm does not have to be removed to fit it, like rippen said it has acut and an allen head bolt. it was easier than removing the swingarm but still a bit tricky
  21. hey guys i ride rocky mountain trails almost every weekend and i've been running a durablue urethane skid plate with over a year. before it i have destroyed two aluminum and one stock skid but the durablue is great it doesn't get pinned to the sprocket or disc it reflexes back into position. check it out, i got mine off ebay i think it was about $100 before shipping
  22. i went for the barnett carbon fiber clutch, you get what you pay for! should be delivered this week
  23. i've seen videos on youtube of R1 powered karts and other big bike engines in them but the kart ends up being the size of a small car when they are finished. i have a spare stock complete shee engine sitting at home getting dusty and was thinking about buying a kart chassis to mount it in what do you guys think? i bet it would be a blast to drive and wheelspin like a mother fucker anyone tried something like this before that might have some pearls of wisdom?? i also have a yzf 426 engine but i think the shee engine would be more of a laugh to drive!!
  24. well whats best for trailriding anyone used these??
  25. watch out for this guy i bought wheel spacers for my shee about 3 months ago and still no sign of them even after sending numerous emails. dirt.street.sand
