  1. there isn't really an advantage with an aftermarket shift lever, i changed mine because i had the same problem as you and the plastic rings started to fall off mine. i bought an IMS steel lever off ebay which has much better threads that allow a way better grip on the shift shaft. i haven't had to tighten it once since i fitted it a few months back
  2. i didn't even contact them partly because i dont know what i done with the warranty details but mainly because i live in ireland so it would be a lot of hassle to sort it out. so i just bought replacements it'll be useful to have spares for the next time i crash. as much as i dislike crashing it's a good reason for replacing stock parts for stronger ones
  3. that stem is on ebay for $350 before shipping
  4. i was out trail riding the other day (pushing my shee hard as always) when i discovered that my enthusiasm exceeded my ability!!! man i hate being ejected basically i had a disagreement with a big fucker of a tree stump and made shit of the a-arms(HD USA phantoms) on one side and turned my stock stem into a banana!! the a-arms are ordered but i wanted some advice on an anti vibe steering stem the american star racing one looks good, i already bought a -1"swingarm from them a few months ago and love it. so what do you guys think any suggestions or advice is welcome
  5. i am fitting it tomorrow it has the 35mm pwk keihin carb and airbox adaptor is there any thing i should know or be careful of any advice welcome.
  6. i recently fitted the hydraulic clutch and i absolutely love it
  7. where can i get the modified star
  8. what is better to fit for smoother shifting for mx style riding, a modded shift star or the shiftpro kit (small arm with spring and roller) I've already bought the kit off ebay but should i try find a shift star too. any advice appreciated
  9. your a lot bigger than me, i,m 5'9 and can reach the mx style bars no bother while standing up straight
  10. i actually shaved most of my seat foam down from the middle to the back to aid shifting my weight from side to side without catching on those big square edges, it's about an inch thick at the back. but when i shaved it i had to fit a seamless gripper cover, it's not very comfortable but how long do you really sit down for any way
  11. i didn't mean actual ape hangers, i was taking the piss out of those bars with a similar rise pattern to the stock ones. they were the first thing i replaced and scrapped that thumb throttle too
  12. almost every banshee that i've seen pictures of has really high handle bars, some are even higher than the stock pieces of shit and then there's the extra height of the risers and i just want to know WHAT IS THE POINT?? when i ride i hang off the side almost sitting on my foot to keep as much weight as possible on the inside for faster cornering, so i run mx style 1 1/8" fatbars(almost flat) to help my positioning and shorten the distance i have to reach. so why the ape hangers? is it to encourage you to sit up for a more comfortable position or what? if you wanted to be comfortable you should have bought one of those lazy ass 4stroke things!!!
  13. i have +2" hydrodynamics usa ishock a-arms but they don't make skid plates for the damn things! does anyone run the same set up or know what where i could get ones that would fit?
  14. can anyone show me some good close up pictures of cut front fenders so that i can see where i should cut the floppy, dis-colored bastards (when i have a crash it's normally a pretty big one) thanks

    carbs

great input guys, i am currently in talks with a guy from trinity racing so i should have the cv 2into1 kit in a week or two. thanks for helping me blow next weeks wages on my pride and joy!
  16. thanks but i would prefer to buy a new setup whatever the cost, i have pumped so much money into my beast, a little more wont hurt. i've never bought used parts simply because i'm living in ireland and to return an item that is unsatisfactory would just be too much hassle for my liking, thanks anyway
  17. i found the best mod to eliminate this delay was to "GO BIGGER" try boring the cylinders and adding 2.5mm oversize pistons. it brings it to about 402cc makes a massive difference from the bottom to the top, it laughs at 4bangers. or you could be more aggressive with the clutch to pick up the revs and "RING ITS NECK" but hey what do i know i'm only a rookie here at HQ
  18. if the single carb works half as well as you guys say i should be very pleased, thanks however i cannot find any conversion kits on ebay, so any ideas where i could find a kit would be much appreciated

    carbs

that single carb setup sounds good but how will it affect the high revving arm ripping power i already have with the dynojetted stock 26mm carbs ,also i'm still running the stock airbox (Ireland tends to have a lot of rain and mud) thanks
  20. was just looking for un-bias info on picking what size carbs would suit my banshee best for mx riding, my quad is super fast already but i'd like a bit more power without going too crazy! see my spec list, any advice welcome
