  1. man your bike is kick ass, i usually dont like flames but you pulled it off with that one....

yea, im gonna have to shop around a bit. i def dont have the dough for a arms. i have a feeling iim gonna be puttin 50 bucks in just bearings here and there this summer...

  2. I just shipped mine to Kevin for 15 bucks. From TX to Cali. So 30 total. Porting will be around 300.

500 for YFZ's and Porting is enough, however, shocks are only good if you plan on getting arms in the near future.

If it was me, I would spend the cash left AFTER Porting, and get your head decked/shaved (60 bucks). Also a adjustable timing plate ($60 w/flywheel puller). It will be a new bike with those three mods.

You can get the shocks later on when you have a little more cash to get the arms also.

sweeet man. thanks. i already have adj timing and it helped big time... +4. my one front shock is blew and i heard the 450 ones were a nice alternative. i really dont wanna put much more money in it after this..

  3. no, boring has nothing to do with the transfers, intake track, and exhaust durations.

    lol didnt think so...

thanks a lot for the replies. im hoping to keep everything under 500 with the shocks too. is that feasible?

    whats round trip shipping about???

  4. ok so tax season is here and i should get a decent return. so of course i have to put some in the money pit.

i just want some opinions here. i am already looking to get the 450 shocks #1

#2 is i want to port and polish. now here is my dilemma: its a 2004 that has been taken very good care of. the motor hasnt been touched and i havent done a compression test yet.

im sure i wont really know till the cylinders are off but when i ship them out to get ported and polished should i just bore it out and get new pistons, or if the cylinders are still in good shape should i just get it honed and new rings?

I am a newbie with these things and just wanna get a better idea of things.

Its down to the trail port from either kevin herr or jeff from fast. i know they will be able to give me better info but i want to know from you guys' experience.

    Thanks,

    brad

  5. my buddy has a 06 or 07 raptor with the usual mods, no major engine work except for hot cam thingy bs... he stomps me unless from a rolling start and even then i have to let off cause i aint blowing a top end just to say i won for a bit haha.

anyway, i agree with the revs, that motor has a ton of shit, but it aint comfy (too high) and its just like riding a harley or major bike hard to describe. as far as trails, even on the banshee ill smoke him. they are cool though and i can only imagine decking one out.

still cant wait till i can afford motor work and smoke him haha

  6. '02 cr125 with david bailey white graphics, fmf fatty, powercore 2, new chain, new handlebars, extra stock plastics, brand new sprocket and back spokes and tire. needs either honed or bored (its not too terrible just needs done soon if you want the bike to shine properly)

    have pics available.

he is looking for a banshee that is a fair trade...

    pm me any offers.

    also have title

  7. LOL yea i wish haha. another question is that little brass piece that goes into the petcock... does it just push/snap in? mine just seems like its stickin out quite a bit but i think its just cause i didnt push the new hose on as far as before. the flow is fine though. I really hate having oil splattered all over shit. would it just be the needle or both the needle and the seat? that a dealer item i presume? or does all that come in a carb rebuild kit? this blows.

  8. tke your bowls off and put gas in them. then set the floats in them and see what they do.

never thought of that. ill have to try that when i get time.

before i threw them back on if i flipped the carb upside down you could hear the float moving. would it still maybe hang up even though it felt loose?

  9. id really like to fix it tho i hate the fact that gas could be leaking while im riding, cutting my ride short...

i turned the gas off and let the bowls drain, of course no leak so im 100% sure its the overflow.. the floats arent sticking either. How could they have changed their position? I havent wrecked or jarred the bike either...

  10. 04 banshee, stock carbs properly cleaned and checked for sticking float... I couldnt measure it because I sadly dont have any kind of ruler or reference, but how would the float not be in the right position if I never messed with it before? I am like a doctor doing heart surgery when I work on the bike so I know I didnt bend or drop anything.

Anyway it leaks over night from the overflow tube. It wont do it right after I shut if off. Im 85% sure it leaks while riding cause a friend said he seen gas in a creek after I crossed it. Im sure its jetted spot on. It runs great.

Like I said I just put them back on last night after spraying the jets and everything out with compressed air, I was hoping it might have been a little piece of crud.

Other dumb thing I do is leave the gas on while I store it. only cause I forget to turn it off. None of my other bikes have had this problem, but last night I turned it off and ran the bowls out of gas, surely that will help haha

  11. im not running a highly modded banshee but i can say that the performance from castor927 to cheap napa valvoline is not noticeable other than more smoke and smell......

im sure the engine gets lubed better with the good stuff and all but idk, i can ride for 50 bucks cheaper a month easy by running that shit.

its actually a good oil. i like the way it runs better than cheap yamalube...

    just my opinion

  12. my buddy has an 07 400 ex with yosh exhaust and ITS JETTED!!!! HOLY SHIT!!! IT smokes the living shit out of me on my +4 timed, T5, and JETTED PROPERLY shee. I cant even come close to touching him its pathetic!!!!

this is of course when Im not actually riding the shee, lol

    what a buttsniffer

  13. It's very easy to wheelie a banshee, just pop the clutch and try to use the rear brake and give it more throttle til you get balanced ... i like to do slow wheelies in second gear.

    1. you need a good banshee

    2. put ur left leg on the grab bar and right leg on the rear brake ..

    3. pop the clutch and pull the banshee up

    4. try to get a balance, throttle and rear brake ...

    5. wear a helmet :)

grab bar wheelies are for twats lol

anyone can wheelie any quad whilst standing on the bar.

just pull back and haul ass!
