  2. Doing a rebuild of my bro's cr125 '02. it hasnt had new rings or anything done to it at all since it was bought. It runs like a piece of total shit as you would imagine. What is a the usual compression around 1300 asl for a 125? I just want to test it before the rebuild to see how bad it is. Also wondering why rocky mountain dont offer sizes up on the pistons for after the bore... anyone?

  3. My first banshee stock all the way except for k n filter. Do the bansees have absolutly no torque at all down low or should I be changing my jetting. I had to richen the needle one slot to get it to run good now plugs look good and she starts on 3 or 4 kicks . on my blaster i could put along at almost an idle clutch it a little and pop it right up the banshee wont do it at a low rpm i got to rev it good then she just wants to spin so should i jet or look into mods cause they just have no torque at all

it takes a while but thats pretty much how they are. you can do several things to improve them in the low end, but they'll never have the same response as a blaster unless you f''ckk up the jetting real bad

  4. So it was like 45 degrees when I checked the temp at around 12. I thought, ok, I'll call everyone and see if they are down for a ride to get the fuck out of the house. (plus I wanted to try my new works shocks and show them the graphics kit). So Brandon(700 raptor) Jesse(400ex), Tyler(ltr450) and me on the banshee all meet up and go down to the resevoir like we always do. Well, I didnt check the weather but by the time we got down there the temp had to have dropped 15 degrees. All but Tyler were totally freezing. There was still snow on all the trails (which Im sure if you have a banshee you know they are lamer than shit, like any 2 stroke in the snow) We started back and my forearm locked up. I couldnt even move my hand. I threw my hand on my pipe to try and warm it up but it only helped for a few seconds. I made it back out by using my palm to give it gas. It really sucked hard. But, seeing as how I finally got a chance to get out and ride, I refused to stop. Eventually my arm thawed out and we rode some old trails we hadnt in years. (turns out Jeeps and other vehicles tore them to shit and left us with huge freezing mud puddles to ride through (which also sucks cause I use the toomey 2 to one filter without the airbox. Finally I had enough. Funny though me and the 700 were the only ones that didnt get stuck.

Then to top it off. Jesse had his girlfriend with him and he asked me to trade for the ride back so his girlfriend could see how awesome my bike was. lol. kinda made the day better.

yea, boring story but you cant really expect much from a central pa hick unless I bring up alcohol related stories :)

  5. Ok cool. thanks I got you on the adjustments. I know its not the shocks though that are causing the one side to hang lower. Is there something in the a-arms that could have bent? It just dont make any sense why the one wheel takes longer to lift off the ground. I hope Im being clear enough on what is goin on here...

    thanks

  6. I put my new Works dual rates on today. I tightened them up and left some play. Its not to spec cause I cant find my feeler gauge. Anyway, I have 2 questions: 1. How do I adjust these damn things?I cant see no marker when I twist them or anything... I have no experience with shocks at all and I know there cant be much to them. 2. Before I installed these, when my bike is on flat ground and I lift up the front end there seems to be like 1-1 1/2 inches of extra hang on the right side and it takes longer for that side to come off the ground. I thought it might have been a bad shock cause my brother wrecked it. Nothing is bent or loose either. Well after I put these works shocks on it still does this. Is this normal? I cant stand knowing something as stupid and little as that is wrong with it.

    Thanks in advance guys

  7. no. im kinda glad though. it didnt come with rear fender graphics either, but to me its ok cause the banshee fenders are so square and everything looks forced on them. Ill just put random stickers of the shit i run on them. Here in PA i need the rear fenders.. it was only 60 bucks.

all in all im really please with them especially compared to the skulls and plain black

  8. Yea. I think now its about as tricked out as I want it to be (minus motor work). Anyone have any real opinions on the stock boysean reeds? I shouldnt have to re-jet with them should I?

I just cant freaking wait to get my shit and get it on and ride!!!

Sorry for these random posts about dumb little mods, but I have cabin fever likea motherfucker.

  9. Ok. I just wanted to see what you guys think from experience. Here is what you need to know; I am a weekend warrior only in the nicer months, I ride trails(a lot of rocky ones) and open gas line roads, and my only motor type mods are t5's and +4 timing with stock bore. It runs great; got the jetting dialed in and all...

This is what I got from rocky mountains deals (used feb. promo codes)

works a-t steeler shocks (rode them on a 400ex and was blown away a while ago)

Boysean carbon reeds (dont wanna dump the money for vforce since Im not sure exactly when I can port)

    Tusk case saver

ordered some other shit that I think I need but I wont waste your time with that stuff (chain rollers, etc.)

    Thanks dudes,

    Brad
