  1. Your lean... move your clip on your needle and put bigger mains in for sure if it's popping and breaking up.
  2. Give people their money back.... what is wrong with you? You'll get what's coming to you one day... keep stealing.
  3. Anybody else got anything? Doesn't have to be black. Red, blue, black, etc. Doesn't matter. Just not in rough shape. Looking for something semi decent to good/excellent.

    Plastics

Got a buddy, and a fellow member on the HQ here, who rolled his quad down one of the toughest coal hills around here today. He is looking for some plastics. Any color will do, but he is looking for some black ones preferably. If anybody can throw in a helping hand here, let me know. Gotta get him back on the saddle as quick as possible. Thanks
  5. Seriously man.... don't. And if you do trade for a four stoke, get the YFZ. Not the Honda, not the Kawasaki, not the Suzuki.... the Yamaha. But even then, that is a bad choice. You have one of the nicest banshees I have seen on here. I would never do it, unless you really don't like it. To each his own
  6. No....... NEVER DO IT....... never.... Not for a honda..... Maybe a YFZ worked up, but not the honda. Your banshee would eat it alive. Believe me, I know. I had the 2 into 1 setup WITHOUT Kevin Herr's porting.... and I tore up every 450 honda I came across. I mean I really beat them good. Some YFZ 450's were tough with my 2 into 1, but not the hondas. Don't do it... I look at your signature pic everyday I am on here.... I love your bike. Don't do it, you will be regretting it, and will be very sad. DON'T!
  7. $375 shipped, low as it will go.
  8. Looking for CPI inframe in good shape.
  9. Just PM me some offers guys. I am thinking $350-400 range, probably the lower half. I will accept paypal.
  10. Why is everybody always fighting and cursing on here
  11. I wrote down the first compression date, then today, and how many hours in between. I will give it another compression test in 2 weeks before I put it away for the winter... than write down aprrox. total hours on it. I will tear off the head and vylinders over the winter when I powdercoat the frame. If they needs rings, I will replace them. If they don't, I will replace them anyways. I want this top end to last through next summer as well.
  12. I know, and I appreciate the info... but I just wanted to get a general feel for the number. Like what is low for a motor like this one. That's all, not getting mechanical here, just talking numbers... plain and simple. I do appreciate that though, as I agree too with what you said. I have seen on my 250r a few years back the piston was completely shot, it was.... and the compression read pretty good #'s. I had alot of work into that motor, it had compression well into the 200 PSI range, around 210 I believe on a fresh rebuild. But it was funny that you mentioned that, because I tore it down the one time to replace rings only to find the piston shot. But the compression reading was good. But for my banshee, and the motor I have, I was just looking for a PSI # that would be considered low.
  13. Kevin recommended the Shearers too... but he did say the CPI's would be a good alternative if Shearers were not chosen. I believe they suit me better with the mid power they offer, but still are a drag pipe, so they have the top end. I am not a lucky guy. When it comes to hunting, or fishing, I'll get a buck every year or get a big fish very often. But with vehicles, no... I will get Shearers, they will leak all over the place, they won't fit, etc. I love how they look though, I think the head pipes themselves are a sweet curving piece of art. And the silencers are pretty neat too. But if they will take away from my low-mid power, which isn't a ton right now... but enough to get a start at the bottom of these hills out here and then get on the top end... I doubt the Shearers can give me what I am looking for. I need a pipe that will pull like an SOB in a drag race against my buddys... but also a pipe that doesn't rob me blind everywhere but the top. The CPI is a good candidate. The trinity's are good, they really are. I love them. In fact, I might end up keeping them. pabansheematt and xXBlessedWithDeathXx are right down the road and own CPI's. If they would be nice enough to let me rip for a minute or 2 with their CPI inframes, I will know if I will either keep the Trinity's or make the switch to CPI's
  14. That is good to hear... it is running fantastic. I talked with a few guys I know on here, and they believe my pilot may be too high as my plugs are wet. But I can drop a size, down to 48's. That should clear it up. The top end pulls like a raped Indian, so my mains are good. The plugs look good inside with a caramel color, but the threads and stuff are wet. I pull them when I get home and it is after putting it through a small development. I appreciate the advice on the 10% difference in cylinder PSI... but with this motor, and that high of compression, when will you know it is time for a rebuild on the top end? I know stock is like 110-100 is getting low. But what about this bike? I can just ask Kevin, he built her up and knows. I just never got around to it. But just curious what you guys may have thought. That is great advice though on the rings. I owned 2 strokes but never a twin cylinder bike, so that is good to know.
  15. Well, I did another compression test today. Last one was July 23rd, and since then, I put 15-20 hours on the bike. It has about 20-22 hours total on top end rebuild. Last test on July 23rd: Left cylinder: 184 PSI Right cylinder: 185 PSI Today after about 15-20 hours on it since last test: Left cylinder 187 PSI Right cylinder: 190 PSI The first test I may have stopped kicking a tad early, today I kept going until I knew for a fact it stopped climbing for good. But I am pleased it didn't go down. With around 190 PSI, when do I rebuild it... at what PSI?
  16. I would like some input on where "elsewhere" would be on my bike... nothing else I can do. I love them, I really do. But if you think they pull as hard as other pipes, you are wrong. They pull hard but not as hard as others. I am looking for a pipe that pulls hard on top, but still gives some mid power to get me started on hills. I am very upset because all other pipes are going to suck because they are chrome... this pipe is so nice. I wish other companys would do this with stainless. CPI is a good fit. I can get a good chunk of change for my trinity's, so I wreally wouldn't be spending money.
  17. 1) What type of aftermarket exhaust do you have? Trinity Stage IV (Very similar to T5) 2) What type of airfilter do you have? K&N pods 6" 3) Are you a)running a stock airbox with lid stock airbox with NO lid c) Stock airbox with vents d) no airbox at all 4) What is your elevation? (If you don't know, go here: http://www.topozone.com ) 1200 ft. 5) What size pilot jets are you using? 50 pilots, air screw 1.5 turns out 6) What size main jets are you using? 155 mains 7) What temperature is your Banshee jetted for? 70-85 degrees 8) Do you have a port job? Herr Jugs Racing Hot Hillshooter port 9) What kind of carbs? Keihin PWK 10) What size carbs? 33mm's
  18. I was doing some research and I came up with a few conclusions... 1. Most of these pipes come right from the factory not fitting right. The left side doesn't clear the head, or other things at that. A bad thing. 2. They keep pulling, but come on much later than the CPI. That's a bad and a good thing. 3. As of now, Cascade would have the only Shearer I would put on my bike until I see others, and hear other feedback, from Jon's. 4. They leak alot. I did a search, and read alot of pages... 95% of people complained about leaking. Another bad thing. 5. You never know what you are going to get. If ordered from Cascade, quality can be good. But others have got them with no o-rings, etc. As much as I would love the pipe, there isn't much positives in me getting it. It comes on latr than the CPI, and that is not good. They leak which I would tweak about. Not fitting would be bad. The CPI is a much better fit for me I think. I would lose alot of power in the range that I need it if I went with Shearers. No timing adjustments would clear it up if they come on as late as most claim. So now I am officially decided on getting the CPI. Bikes with similar mods, and a bike with CP and Shearer, the race would come down to the rider. That's a good thing too. The only thing I will have to do with CPI's is cut the front fenders, which I was going to down the road eventually anyways. Thanks everyone for your input... I appreciate it.
  19. I am too... it is an '01 with '03 plastics. I traded a guy my blue ones for these. I got the carbon fiber hood out of the deal too. And I kept my wasrning plates. They shined up nicely. I always wanted a black one... I think they look mean as hell
  20. I'd have to agree with you... this place is the most informative piece of information for a banshee owner. And I also met lots of great people. I would still be using a 2 into 1 setup and would have gotten a local cleanup stage 1 port job too. I learned about all the good engine builders here.
  21. Brillo pad, SOS pad, etc. Mark my words... and use it on your frame lightly to get off grease. And your motor cases.... it will make them shine, and suck up the grease. You won't believe it until you try it.... I buy boxes and boxes of SOS pads a year just to clean my motor, chain, spots on frame (lightly clean, don't scrub), etc. It takes the dirt that water, soapy rags, degreaser, etc. can't. Seriously, try it.
  22. Some very informative info there... thanks! Anyone else have anything to add? Or any good or bad experiences?
  23. 30mm would be good, or a 33mm. The 2 into 1 is good, but falls right on it's face in the higher gears. I had it with a 35mm. Had all the top end in the world in the first 3-4 gears. You hit 4th, 5th, and 6th and it falls off the power. Make the switch. I can trail ride with my "top end setup" if I wanted, it is all in my signature. It has no problem trail riding, but I don't do it much. Make the switch!
