This turned into a circus really quick...
-
Kevin takes 2 weeks. Jeff's turnaround won't be that quick... His choice. I bought carbs off Jeff, they were at my door in 24 hours. He sure ships parts out fast though... Kevin knows his stuff. I did my research when I was going to do mine. I am not just saying to send his to Kevin because that is what I did. Jeff is good, I saw a banshee run that ported by him. Same setup as mine, he had 35mm pwk's and I got it by several bikes. Guy bought it off craiglist in NJ and had it up for the weekend up here... I am saying this because he answered all my questions, answered the phone the 893 times I called him, and never hurried me off the phone. He was even more helpful when I was putting it back together. And the thing flys... And his work is second to none. I saw and beat other builder's bike with mine... enough said.

Kevin Herr at Herr Jugs Racing. He will make your bike pull so hard your body will hurt.

Now that I am looking at the mods again, that is most likely where the compression should be. 155-160 sounds right on. Your elevation was not stated though. That makes a difference with pressure and such on stuff. I would mix 110/93 50/50 with 155 PSI. But you can most likely get away with pump. I think xXBlessedWithDeathXx runs 19cc domes and +4 timing. He has 34mm Keihins on his, and is bored .060 over with CPI inframe drag pipes. He is running pods too. He runs pump gas no prolems either... so you should be able to get away with it. We are at 1200-1300 feet above sea level. I don't know his compression numbers, but they aren't low. His bike runs hard... really hard. But me personally I would mix 50/50. But most wouldn't if they didn't have to. Either decision won't hurt the bike.

Yes, let's get all of us together... that would be awesome

Turn the bike off.... Screw the tester threads into the spark plug hole with the other plug still in. Hold the throttle wide open and kick like hell... when it stops, take the reading. Do the same for the other cylinder. Sounds like 155 PSI is a little low for that setup... that would probably run on pump 93-94 octane without problems. Test it again with the above instructions... see what you get. But the general rule is 150 PSI and above is the race gas pressures. You could most likely get away with pump gas, but I would mix 110 and 93 half and half (50/50) to be safe. We don't know for sure what your compression is right now. Do it again and report back. But you should be higher than 155 for sure I have 190 PSI and I run 105 octane (116/93 mixed 50/50) without problems. Good luck

I wish alot of the guys here can come... we are very fortunate to have this right here in our back yards. I saw 17 guys this past weekend unloading their bikes from a truck by my house. Their license plate said West Virginia...

I was talking with pinned247 today on the phone, and we thought we might go down to Coal Hill. Maybe Hillclimbr can meet us somewhere and we can meet Jack and Matt out there. I am sure PJ will come, and the other guys we ride with.

If you jump the quad, keep some kind of heel guard or nerf on there. We don't jump alot, just hillclimb. We save weight, and we don't need them. I have been climbing quads on the hills for a long time and never had an issue due to wearing a boot that bites and sticks on the peg. Others may argue here, but that is my experience. If you jump the slightest bit, keep nerfs of some sort on there. But I don't, and I don't think pinned247 does either.

Banshee's are tough to learn wheelies on... tricky. But once you get the hang of it, you'll be riding them in no time. ASV's are good levers. I felt the ASV's and they are alot easier... ALOT! But I found a MAGNUM lever and perch that works just as good. For $20. I have heavy duty clutch springs, etc. that made the stock perch almost impossible to ride. This MAGNUM EZ-Pull is cake to pull... 1 finger is all you need. And it is a fraction of the price of ASV.

Me, PJ, Doug and probably a few others will definately be in....
-
Anybody?

pinned247's bike runs pretty darn good for being stock. Climbs some nice size hills with that bike. Can't wait to see it with some pipes and some bolt ons. Maybe even some timing advance. Shee will be ripping

I know alot of guys around here that run it without any problems. I like peace of mind, so I don't myself. But I know these guys run it straight, and have not had any issues. But then again, these are the same guys who don't rebuild their own motors, so they don't know what it looks like. I'd say your good, but I myself stay away from it. I don't like the science behind it all. Plus it is the same price here at the local airport as Sunoco CAM2 116 Maximal is. So I go with CAM2 and mix that 50/50 with 93 Sunoco to get 105. I have 190 PSI. Works good with no signs of detonation. The AV GAS that we have around here smells like rotten eggs. Unless that is the oil the one guy uses in his banshee (Golden Spectro). But that bike reaks...

No studs... Coolhead, o-rings.gaskets (never opened), 19 and 21cc domes for $125 shipped. Or with 1 set of domes for $100 shipped. -
Always beer with me when I go out... lol
-
The guy I bought my quad from gave me some extra parts with it... all the stock parts, and a Pro Design Cool Head with 2 sets of domes. I am selling it since I have a Noss head. And I don't need big domes. Content with my 17's and don't plan on switching. I will sell the Pro Design Cool head with one set of domes of your choice for $100. It has a pack of o-rings and o-ring gaskets as well that go with it that were never opened. I don't need them either as I have plenty. If you want both domes, make it $125 for the cool head, the gaskets and o-rings, and both sets of domes. Cool head doesn't look like it was ever installed... SMOKING DEAL... the domes alone are worth more than the asking price. Let alone the cool head and o-rings/gaskets Let me know

Looking good man... I like it alot. Can't wait to see it in person. Definately unique
-
I like the look of the factory pipes man.... total sleeper style.
-
32:1, 36: and 40:1 are all good ratios that I have had luck with in the past. I ran 40:1 on a stock unported motor with all bolt ons. Now I run 32:-36:1 on a ported bored motor. Better to be safe than sorry.
-
That is a good one... absolutely hilarious.
