  1. I had the bike idling and it was idling high, then as soon as i touched the gas it sounded like a plane taking off, the rpms kept increasing till it sounded like it was maxed and i couldnt turn it off. Tried the switch, and yanking both plug wires, it kept going. As soon as i pulled the choke it turned right off. Then i started it back up a minute later and it was fine, still idling a little high though but not like before. Then a little later it did it again! This time i again tried the switch and nothing but i knew the choke would kill it and sure enough it did. The bike is really sluggish in the midrange aswell. The weather today was also very cold, it was maybe 20 degrees. Can that cause any of this? Normally i wouldent even ride on a day like this but a few friends managed to talk me into it.
  2. It only does it once in a while? then after i shut it off its fine again?
  3. My bike gradually keeps going up in rpms to the point it wont go any higher and it wont shut off except by choking it. The switch wont shut it off nor will pulling both plug wires?
  4. I constantly check the bike over anyway and im trying to clean up the bike and simplify things, so is the coolant tank really needed?

  6. I need the little adjuster that goes on top of the carburetor to tension the cable on a bike with a tors eliminator kit. Mine cracked off and i cant find one anywhere.
  7. im running yamalube, i wanted to give it a little extra oil to break it in but i guess i went a little overboard.
  8. Im mixing 24:1 and i cant get the bike to stop backfiring, despite getting lots of fuel. could it be im running too much oil?
  9. I rode it for 2 hours today so im sure its fine, i think the connector burned off very shortly after starting it
  10. the carbs are mikuni round slides that measure 1.25in id, and for now its just stock porting but the guy who did my cylinders raised the ports 1mm
  11. btw my elevation is 190 feet and it has fmf pipes
  12. I have a 4 mill with 65.5 pistons, 20cc domes, and carbs measure 1.25in. It has power but pops every so often and the plugs are soaked. Im gonna check what jets in it tomorrow but about what jet should i need?

On my bike some dumbass used all the same color wire for the whole harness and i actually ended up riding with the yellow and black hooked together for a little bit till the connector melted off :ohmy: . I thought i had it right since i put it back exactly like the old one came off but it mustve been switched somewhere along the line of troubleshooting. Anyway with the wires conneced right everything works fine but do you think i did any kind of damage to the stator in that little time?
  14. Does anybody sell a coil that has terminals on it so the wires can be changed? Higher output is also a must
  15. mine like to fall off also, i think the problem is that they make them to fit different size carbs so the fit isnt going to be that great unless your using the biggest carb the filter will accept. Btw you will be really happy with your engine, it sounds like the same one i got and im really impressed with mine

  17. I also periodicly dumped a capfull of oil in the cylinders to keep them lubed and im running 24:1
  18. I got the motor together and the flywheel fell off and screwed up my stator and i didnt even know the stator went bad since it still looked ok. Anyway i thought it was flooded because it had a little but not enough spark and kicked it over alot without it actually starting before i took a gamble and bought a 200w stator figuring its a good upgrade either way, and it now runs. My question is did i screw up the rings from seating by kicking it so much and flooding the cylinders? I hear a little noise when i turn the engine back and forth from the flywheel. It sounds like the the piston rocking back and forth? Is that normal for an engine thats not broken in?

  21. The key is in the keyway and the flywheel is on just not super tight since im still troubleshooting
  22. anyone in north jersey have a flywheel i can use to try it? Ill pay you something for your time
  23. Can it lose magnetism from sticking to the stator when it came loose? also i just noticed one of the little parts on the stator has the coating cracking off it in one place.

  25. I checked for spark yesterday and there was a little spark but it wouldent start so i figured it was flooded. Today i had a friend try to pull start me with his truck and it wouldent even try to start so i checked for spark and theres nothing, alsoo the headlights dont light up when i kick it. This all started after my flywheel fell off a few days ago, the weird thing is everything looks fine like the flywheel never even hit the stator and it had spark for a while in the beginning.
