  1. awesome. Thanks a lot guys
  2. Hey everyone. I just bought a set of crank bearings and seals off of ebay. I saw the same exact kit in the rocky mountain catalouge, and it says its for 90-06. I called them up and asked them if there was a difference, and they didn't know. The 87-89 wasn't even on their computer. I want to make sure these bearings will work, because that would really suck if they didn't. Are the 87-89 crank bearings the same as 90-06? I need to know ASAP. thanks,
  3. So one day, this little black kid was going through his mothers make-up. He saw the talcom powder, went to open it and it accidentally got all over his face. So he runs down to his mom, and before the kid says anything, the mothey slaps him across the face. She goes, "Black is beautiful, black it great! Go see your father right now!" So sadly, the little boy goes downstairs to his father. Before the little boy can say anything, the father slaps him across the face. He says "Black is beautiful, black is great! What do you have to say for yourself?" Without hesitation, the little boy says, "Well dad, Ive only been white for 4 minutes, and I already hate you ***gers" :yelrotflmao:

  5. This has to be the most fun place to ride anywhere! Haven't been up there this season yet Can't wait to get back up there. BTW, most people I know refer to it as Ashland, never heard it called Coal Hill. I had two nasty wipeouts there, haha. Ill let you guys know the next time we're up there.
  6. a-men to that! What also pissed me off, is 250r4life had a banshee, that obviously wasn't tuned right and he didnt even know what was done to it. So who the hell is he to rag on banshee's.
  7. There's zero movement up and down, and the bearings look real good and move smoothly. Just wanted to make sure there isn't too much play side to side. I know a little is normal, but I guess as long as theres no play up and down its fine. And thanks for the jetting info.
  8. ANYONE!?!?!?! I really need to know...
  9. 10 views and no reply??? Come on, someone has to know. I wanna start rebuilding it sometime soon.
  10. I was Hondamaster5505 in that thread. I was trying to defend the banshee's name as much as I can. Those guy's are fuckin idiots that think the 450's are like gods gift and if you dont have one your quad is crap. It pissed me the fuck off to no end ::
  11. I don't know what to tell ya, I just sit a little farther back on the seat and nail it, and then try and hold it balanced from there. Just takes practice, trial and error. I actually find doing standing wheelies easier on the 400ex, and sitting wheelies easier on the banshee. Just the way they feel.
  12. Hey, I decided to rebuild my crank with new bearings and seals on the outsides, and welding it up. The center bearings and rod bearings feel real nice and smooth, but we're putting heavy duty bearings on the outside. Before we go through the trouble though, we're going to check the side to side play in the rods to make sure they don't have too much play. We can test it ourselves, but how much play side to side is normal on the rods? Thanks! (On a side note, whats the stock jetting? Once I get the engine together we have to set the carbs and clean em)
  13. I'm 5'11 and I like tall bars, and I have the Renthal banshee bend. Its a banshee specific bar. I like the feel and looks, just the perfect height too. Heres the pic of when I first got it, you can see the bars kinda.
  14. Sounds like the jetting is wayyyyyyyyyyy to rich. Do you know what size carbs they are? He mightve put real big carbs on. Trying going down on the main jet and move the clip up on the needle one or two notches, and see if it gets better. As far as a bent electrode, my guess is maybe the crank is out of wack the the piston is hitting the spark plug.. Or possibly he's using the 4mil without the spacer plate at the bottom. Not to sure about this. But definitely check your jetting.
  15. Shoot me a pm. What year and how much? Also, any pics? My email is [email protected] Just send me a pm answering that stuff^^
  16. bump.. I was going to buy ToomeySheeLE's, but he hasn't been very responsive. So i'm still on the hunt. Whatcha got? (and toomeyshee, get back to me when you can, if you do get me pics im still intrested in yours)
  17. It appears to be aftermarket shocks. Dual Rate w/o rezzy. Probably not the best shocks ever, but better than stock.
  18. Your going too fast for the computer to keep up But in all serousness, Ive had mine on the 400 for a while with no problems. Its actually been 175 miles since i put it on.
  19. Nice rides. A couple things to fix some of your problems with the 450. To help with the front wondering, get some new front meats. Dirtwheels did a project kfx and put some radial holeshots on it front and back. Said it got rid of some of the wandering. For the gearing, just jump up a tooth on the front sproket. For the seat, Quad Tech makes a foam kit that add's another 1in of foam to the seat while making it look trick, because of the cover. And for the power, an exhaust and open airbox/filter would do wonders. Piped 450's are pretty darn fun. The banshee will still be faster, but the mods on the 450 still make it pretty potent. With all of that, your set with a real nice ride.
  20. Wagonz.. How the hell did you mount your DMC like that Ive never seen that before.
  21. First of all, those are not works shocks. Those look to be LT230 shocks that he put on to try and lower it, for whatever reason. And God knows what he was thinking when he put the other shock upside down... Plus, it almost looks like he retained the stock a-arms and just used some wide ass wheel spacers. It look's like your dealing with a hacked up mess, than a complete idiot put together. As long as it runs good, I guess it would be an alright buy. I bought mine for $500, which everything was nice except for the engine. Check around where the cases go together, and see if they ever split it. Some idiots split them, then put it back together with that red sealer gasket, which just smooshes out and doesn't seal them. Also, check the compression to make sure it's over 100psi. If the engines good, offer him $900 and see if he'll take it.
  22. Traded my pipes for his. Very patient, and pipes as described. Trade went smooth.
  23. Well, right now Im trying to work out a deal with someone who pm'd me. He also has a mint 03 crank, so if I don't go through with this one, then ill be sure to send you a pm
  24. That one on ebay is going for too much. NYUK, what year is the crank from? Very intrested.
