  1. Hey. Well, I finally have enough money to START rebuilding my banshee. First off I need a crank. I'd like it to be from a 2000 or newer, OEM or Aftermarket. Either or. Must have NO excessive play in any of the bearings. I have about $130 to spend. I desperately need one, so if you have one, please let me know. Thanks!
  2. The shee is not meant for what your doing at all, and that's how it is. Plus, I highly doubt the other campers will enjoy you whipping around on a piped two-stroke Believe me, its all old son of a bitches there. Heres my recomendations that you trade for. They are all four-strokes, that you can puts around all day on, or get on hard when you want to. -400ex (05-08 has reverse) -z400 (all have reverse) -kfx400 (all have reverse) -dvx400 (all have reverse) -Raptor 660 (All have reverse) -Raptor 700 (If you can find one) Those are some of the quads you need, when it comes to putting around. They're also quick if you push them. Now, if you want something with more of a rush, heres what i recomend. Now, there still like to be rev'd, but easier to put around on then the banshee. TRX450R YFZ450 KFX450
  3. They look cool, sound cool, and have a hard mid-top end hit.
  4. Also, on a side note, are those warrior rear fenders on your banshee? They look good. What did it take to convert them? Or did they just bolt up?
  5. OMG! Ive been looking ALL OVER for these pipes!!!!! Possible trade for a set of chrome Toomey T5's??? Or, if your not intrested in that, ill definitely take them if you can hold off till I sell my toomeys. They're popular, so it probably wouldnt take long. Please let me know!
  6. I don't know, but all I know is that they better have ATV's in the next X-games. i mean, dirtbikes are cool and all, but its much more intresting to see a quad do a back flip then a dirtbike... Almost all the pros can do backflips on dirtbikes.
  7. Hey everyone. Found this on another site. We're all signing a petition to put ATV FMX in the X-games, and show those dirtbikers who the real talented people are! Already 4000+ signatures! Go to http://www.petitiononline.com/atvfmx/petition.html Sign it! I want to see ATV FMX in the next X-games. Also, possible pinned thread?
  8. Hey man. I think I decided to just fix mine up and ride it. Sorry...
  9. what would happen if yo used long travel banshee shocks? too long? also, i had an idea of actually lowering the top shock mount to raise it up
  10. Im considering parting out my banshee. If I get enough intrest, I will. Engine (minus stator. low compression, but very clean) - $600 Radiator (With hoses and overflow tank) - $40 Toomey T5 pipes w/ silencers (chrome) - $325 J-arm Frame (Super nice condition!) - $200 Complete Wiring harness/CDI/Coil/Reg. (Like new) - $100 Stock reeds - $50 Tail light - $30 J-arms - $75 Axle - $75 Swingarm - $100 Front shocks (red) - $60 Rear shock (white) - $75 Grab Bar - $25 Carbs (could use cleaned) - $45 Airbox/boot - $35 Steering stem (straight) - $35 Stock exhaust/silencers - $40 Stock bumper - $35 Blue front/rear fenders (typical stress marks, frt race cut) - $120 Plus there may be some more things. Like spindles, etc. The quad was sitting in storage for 10 years, so it's very clean as far as parts go. Prices are negotiable.
  11. LOL I guess I exagerated a little. Im just getting antsy. My whole build is depending on a stator at this point.
  12. Dude.... WTF? It's been what, 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten a reply yet? I NEED the damn stator so I can get spark. My whole overhaul/build is dependent on that stator. Without it, I can't start my teardown.
  13. "White Brothers hot cam" "FMF power core 5 pipe" LMAO. What a dumbass. White Brothers doesn't make cams, and there is no such thing as a powercore 5 pipe. banshee eater... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  14. ....? Still waiting on reply. I will definitely take it if its functional and works properly. My stator is bad so im looking for a replacement.
  15. Does the stator DEFINITELY work? And in good condition? If so, I think ill definitely take it. As long as it works, does $30 shipped sound good?
  16. lol, i wont forget ya. Like I said, i think im keeping them. I still want pics of everyones though so if i decide in the next couple days if i wanna trade, i can look at them and make a decesion. Yours are real solid 2001Stroker, but do need a good polishing. Im lazy, lol. Ill definitly keep yours in mind though, because i dont mind a little polishing.
  17. klemet banshee: I think I decided to keep the T5's to try them out. The bike i rode that had them wasnt tuned great, so im gonna give em a shot. If I dont like them, they'll be up for sale again. But as far as your post, did you mean fatty headpipes with PCII silencers? banshee balla: Same applies. But, send pics to quadboy4ooex@yahoo.com I have 2 other people wanting to trade SST's also, and if i decide to trade them before I use them, i think im gonna go with the nicest set of the 3. So send pics, so i can see what the nicest are and decide if I want to give the toomeys a shot or not. ill try to get pics in the next couple of days. I still think I am gonna use the T5's, but for a nice enough pipe i might still consider trading.
  18. i think i decided to keep them, to see how they are on a good running bike, but send pics too quadboy4ooex@yahoo.com If i dont like them, i think 2001stroker has first dibs because he also had SST's to trade. I have a huge list of people who want em, lmao. So, if I dont like them, ill be sending messages to everyone who was intrested. It may be a while till mine runs though. So send pics for future reference, and i may change my mind about using them if your pipes are spotless, but I am almost positive im gonna keep em to try em first
  19. Hey guy's. I might be trading my plastics for some Toomey T5 pipes. It's the full system, including silencers. They're in decent shape and look nice, and are the chromed style. I'm selling them to get different pipes. A lot of people like them, but they aren't my style. So, before I trade, I would like to know if I have some takers.. I'll sell the whole system for $325 shipped... ~or~ Trade for a different set of pipes and silencers. Im looking for: FMF Fatty's FMF SST's DMC 916's DMC Alien's PT Hi-Rev

  21. MY DAD DIDNT SPEND THE MONEY! The guy before him sent it to yamaha, with the money. We also don't know what's done completely to the engine. The guy didnt really tell us much. We KNOW they are FMF Fatty pipes and the heads milled. Its a white brothers boost bottle. We havent had the case's off yet but think it might have a shaved flywheel and timing plate, we arent sure. It revs much quicker than some of the other banshee's ive rode, and vibrates more. We also think they put boysen reed petals in. They are white petals, anyone know what they are? So, if my suspicions are true: FMF Fatty pipes PowercoreII silencers milled head shaved flywheel boysen reeds timing plate Plus, not to mention it's tuned SPOT ON, I don't see why 52hp is that far of a reach. Whatever the case, I love FMF pipes except for the gnarly's. Heres my EX and dads banshee. My banshee is undergoing a complete rebuild, because we bought it as a project.
  22. Well, while that may be true, i have to say this. Out of every banshee ive ever seen, ive never seen one run as smooth as his. They tuned it SPOT ON. Its faster than his employee's, which has the t5's, single carb, milled head, and aftermarket filter. My basic point is the FMF's have a really strong mid-top pull, and add excellent power.
  23. Listen to your dealership. On my dad's banshee, we are running FMF Fatty's and PowercoreII silencers. Heres the story. My dad didn't do the mods. The guy he bought from had a decent amount of money. He bought the banshee brand new, and was getting bored with the power after the first ride. Well, he dumps it off at yamaha, with a hunk of cash, and said make it fast. The guy there is a banshee expert, and knows exactly how they work. Well, they selected the FMF pipes, and milled the head. Then they put a boost bottle on it. After that, they stuck her on the dyno, tuned it, and gave it back. It was dyno'd at 52hp Thats a lot for basic mods. Well, the pull insanely as soon as you hit mid range, and the top end is excellent. His employee has t5's, and I HATE them. They seem more mid-range and less top the the fatty's. They also don't sound as smooth or nice as the FMF. Ive seen people say fatty's are more low-mid, but i don't believe so. They have great mid-top. Just IMHO, the t5's suck, and I like the fatty's. The only other pipes I would buy are the t-6's.
  24. Like Dinner said, they aren't as bad as everyone says. Actually, stock J-arm frames handle better than stock A-arm frames because it's less mass traveling up and down, which hence creates quicker smoother suspension travel. Just be prepared to replace bushings like crazy, and I mean it. Those suckers eat em up. And, like the other guy said, they won the baja with stock J-arms, im sure they won't break with people like is riding.
