  1. ok i was riding along.. in 5th or 6th and then it revved real high and i let off the gas and rolled to a stop idling in 1st... i can go through all the gears just idling.. i thought my clutch fell out of adjustment but what leads me to think differently is the smell of the oil.. it was still warm when i drained it and it smelled reallly bad like burning somthing or nother. whats wrong with that picture? also what do i have to do to make the clutch assable without taking the whole clutch cover off? well im not gunna go dig into it now im going snowmobiling.. :cool:

  5. my buddy has a warrior.. never told me of anything like this happening to his so im no help.. sounds electrical.. does it like cut out or just die immediatly?
  6. first of all its single digits cold at about 800 ft above sea level. banshee has pipes and k and n pods. im running 240 mains. i know im lean but how lean can i be? it goes fine through 3rd but when i hit 4th it wont rev past half throttle.. how much bigger should i go.. cant imagine much bigger than 300. could it otherwise be the needle?
  7. take it to a machine shop right in town.. got mine done for 48 bucks a cylinder.
  8. New wiseco top end.. not even broken in.. k and n pods.. new chain and sprokets. lrd pipes. open to reasonable offer. im an hour north of milwaukee. pics available upon request.

Ok just rebuilt her and it has 240 mains.. thats the only change to the carbs.. pipes, and pods. its in the single digits cold. and im about 800 ft above sea level.. the electrode is dark but the threads are silvery.. it runs great and idles fine... am i lean? how much richer do i have to go if i have to change it at all? am i fine running it like this for a day of riding? anyone have a plug chart?
  10. Im willing to give up my 2003 Kawasaki Mojave and my banshee for a nice snowmobile or yfz 450 or raptor 700. I just want something new that has electric start.. as far as a snowmobile.. pull start is fine. please email me at [email protected] for pics of both machines... banshee has new top end.. new chain and sprockets. new top end. lrd pipes. k and n pods and shes not even broken in yet. the mojave has a pro circuit pipe. k and n filter. nerf bars. bumbers and handgurads. if you are interested let me know.
  11. not bragging or nothing but im 14 years old and i did my top end myselff. tore it all down.. bought the whole top end kit (wiseco) took my cylinders and pistons to a machine shop.. they match the pistons to the cylinders for tolerances.. got it all backk.. put it all back together.. torqued her all up and a few hours later i was tearing it up.. in all honesty i wouldnt hesitate to do it again myself the next time she goes..
  12. about 7 inches fell here yesterday.. oshkosh wisconsin about an hour north of milwaukee. crazy it was a blizzard all day from like 10 am to 10 pm. i drove all the way up and down my street about 10 times on my kawasaki.
  13. how do i adjust the clutch pushrod? my clutch cover is off. thats about how far i am.

  16. got her running after the rebuild.. idles perfectly but.. i pull the clutch in and drop her into first and it doesnt go.. i didnt split the cases but i did take the shifter off to get the engine back in.. there is nothing in its path blocking it from getting all the way into gear.. maybe its a little to low on the splines.. not sure.. TIA please let me know.
  17. are you saying adjust the pilot or adjust the airscrew? i put 350 mains in it after i added pipes and filters.
  18. nope ill go to the stealership tom and pick up some more jets.. ill see how it runs and if it needs the needle adjustment ill do it. ill let you know tho.

  22. ok i know the carb is the problem.. it runs for about 4 seconds when i spray a very small amount of starting fluid in through the carbs.. i cant start it otherwise and it wont run longer then that.. its got lrd pipes. k and n pods. 350 mains and the stock pilots. whats my problem. im about 800 ft above sea level and its about 30 degrees outside.
