  1. Powdercoat only lasts longer if you get a good job. I paid a few bucks (350 or so) from a shop where I live and it didn't even last two years (duning years). Needless to say that I won't be going back to that s**thole.
  2. Like Banchetta said, the chances of not scoring your cylinders and/or pistons is very slim. I just seized my motor (wrist pin bearing failure caused it), and the pistons were scored on the carb side. I'd remove your carbs and manifolds and check your pistons for seize marks.

  4. I'm trying to decide what mod i'll do next to the ole shee. Running 4mil lr crank, 35 pwk's, t-5's, .40 over, cool head 20cc domes, pods, 8" arm, ported, +4 timing, lightened flywheel. I ride strictly sand & drag a lot. I was thinking about either getting cheetah cylinders so i could bolt on to 485cc, that'd be sweet. Either that or unstamped CPI's with cascade silencers. What would you do? Something else.....?
  5. For you guys with the 35's, what jetting are you running? I go in the dunes in oregon and haven't yet tried my new 35's for my 4mm with t-5's. Any help would be great.

  7. I have a Magura hydraulic clutch but the damn thing won't install directly like the stock cable. Anyone have any solutions or pictures? Thanks.

  9. I agree with blue. I had bored stock carbs and was running 440-460 jets. I only rode in the dunes in oregon at sea level. You might even need to run more than i was. I can't even guess on stock carbs. Good luck.

  11. Bizkit_boy, do you ride in the sand? How long is your swingarm and what mods do you mean when you say fully built? Just curious.
  12. Probably is honestly. I'm just getting them because I'm going to go bigger (hp) sooner than later and wanted to try them.
  13. Yeah, I'm starting in second. I ride only in the sand, and I'm running around 80 hp. I'll be dragging on flat and hills, but still want it to be able to dune.
  14. Does anyone know a range of where I should gear for 12 paddles on 22x11x8 haulers. I'm running an 8" arm and really don't know where to start. I was thinking 14/41? Any help??
  15. Does anyone know where I can get intake manifolds for 35 pwk's? I don't want the new style that has the flow control shit on it. I just want the regular manifold that is like stock just bigger. Thanks.
  16. What size of tires ( & # of paddles) should I run with an 8" arm? I ride only in the dunes and my bike is pretty modified. 4mm stroker crank, bored 20 over, 35 pwk's with pod filters, cool head with 20 cc domes (175 psi), t-5's (going to CPI's), ported, +4 timing. I was thinking 12 paddles on 22x11x8 tires. What do you guys think?
  17. I think the cpi's give you more horsepower for sure, at least on the top end. I like the pull of the t-6, I'm just not as impressed with the top end. But, depends on what you want I guess. I ride dunes and love to drag, so I'm happy with my cpi's.
  18. Oilsmoke- How do you like your 34 mm mikuni's? I was looking at getting a set of those or 34 pj's or 35 pwk's.

What size of carbs, and type (keihin or mikuni) would you guys run with my mods? 4mm stroker, bored .20, with t-5's (going to CPI in-frame), cool head w/ 20 cc domes (165-170 psi), +4 timing, +8 inch arm, pod air filters, strictly dune riding. I've got stock bored carbs. I was thinking about going to 34 pj's, or 35 pwk's. What do you guys think?
