I so i had a new top end done like 3 weeks ago. i heat cycled it the 3 times and everythign seemed good. except i get this one problem. while warming up i bog down and smoke alot. so after my dune trip i took of my cool head and this is what the pistons look like.i cant attach them its to big.. but the top of the piston is black but on the sides it has like regular gray piston coloring like water was getting on there.. how can i upload pictures bigger both look like that

I live in san diego. pretty much sea level i always get 140-160...my blater gets 125... might be time to rebuld.. fyi.

My bike has always puffed more smoke out the left pipe then the right. Weird. I just pulled my new plugs I had in there and the left side was chocolate brown the right was a bit lighter? Should I worry?

i took it all apart again and put everythingback together super slow. i did have to use some sealer on the botton of the left cylinder i did notice a leak. anyway. after doing that it runs super good. lots of power. my other queston is. my right pipe smokes a bit more then my left

1987 banshee. stock. just had my top end re done by a machine shop, put everything back to gether... now the thing boggs way down then shuts off and puffs a crap load of white smoke. i took my cool head off again and checked to see if i was pinching an o ring. but all that was good.. on the gaskets for the heads should i have put sealer on them? do u think coolent is leaking into the cylinders? please help me out.

Don't do it. I do and seized my motor. It leanded the crap out of my bike and I over heated... 2 dollar filter aint worth the 350 dollar top end rebuild... Fyi.. Gas tank has filters already

I wouldn't. Had one on my bike and it leaned my motor out so bad it over heated and seized the dang thing. Restricts flow tomuch

basically its like sim city. but you cant conrol it.. the more people you have visit the site the more people that inhabit the city and it builds itself. i though being bansheeville. all you would liek to go there.

yea i have j arms also.. when i push down on my front end my shocks are really friggin stiff. why is this.. they are set at the softest setting for stock shocks.. they are proabaly orginal 20yrs old. is i put on new-yzf 450 shocks will i have some up and down play in my front end or will it still be super stiff.

yea i bought my chic a 91 blaster for 400 bucks. after putting in a new crank and new top end the thing runs pretty good .. for a blaster! more then enought power for a chic...

ok he told me the cylinder looks good still but the piston broke off. so what do you suggest.. buys the same size pstons and replace or does he have to bore ?

he told me the piston shattered inside the cylinder. so what does that mean and what to you suggest he does?

ok he took the head off and said one of the sides looks liek a weedwacker went crazy in there. so i think he locked up one of the sides. i dont know what the deal is with this bike but i feel bad for my brother. if he just fried a ring can he just change them out.??

ok my brother just called me and told me that he just put his bike back together after re installing his coolhead and have to helicoil a few of his cylinder posts. he said he didnt vacume out the burs but only blew them out with a compressor. but heres thie thing he said it ran really weird like it was bogging down and slugish i told him to change his plugs so he did and he got some 100 ocatne fuel sense the guy he bought his bike from told him to run 100 octane in it. so he did got it all going and said it still boggs down. so he pulled it into his garage and went to kick start it again and he said it wont move that it is stuck...what does this sound like. he just bought this bike and has had nothing but problems... please help me guide my brother in this.. and if he did cease it. how long does it usualy take to have the cylinders honed out and he said his pistons say 65.25 on them.. what is the next size up. please help guys!!!!

i just bought this banshee and put a cool ehad on it and im getting like 128 135 psi with 20 cc domes and my motor has been bored over one time .. the piston says 25 on it.. help me and the cylinnders still have the hone marks looks new still and rings are good still i think so i go smaller domes?
