I think once you go to fullbores you pretty much sealed the deal when it comes to an oversized tank.. I have never seen or herd of anyone hacking up fullbores for an ims or Clarke tank.. As far as a bigger tank on stock plastics, I do think that alot of times they look like shit.... Me personally did not think they would look good on my bike, but I was suppose to head back to glamis this past February and last year when we went, I couldn't ride. Every time we got to where we wanted to be, I was extremely low on fuel.. Even with my extra 2.5 gal can on my grab bar. There was one ride I didn't make it back... I desided that function was worth more then looks.. Turns out I love the way my bike looks with the big tank..

Clarke or ims both offer great products.. If you gunna run a larger tank, why wouldent you want to cut the plastics.... On a clarke tank you don't see it anyway...

Air leak... Did you do a leak down test?.

I dono where "set tips" came from lol... Probably from me trying to do 10 things at once... But I'm ported by denny at flotek performance... Great guy to deal with. I run t5's, and my swing arm is 2 inches shorter. I never put my bike on a dyno... But I'm told I should be mid 70's or so... Shears, 33 and smaller domes. I could prob gain quite a bit, but I love my setup as is... Tons and tons of power everywhere and plenty of bottom end... Oh an I run The highest pump gas I can find... Usually 91/93

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 2 of my buddy's just bought the cap for their vp jugs when we were in glamis, and they both had problems with the little vent hose... But it's agreed that the tuff jug is the best can on the market....

I have a ported 4mil in stock jugs.. I love the set tips. Power everywhere I trail ride never drag... I also run a -2 swingarm... I have toomeys and 28pwks If I went to a better pipe and bigger carbs I could probably see 5-10more go easily

Do not just buy the cap... Few of my buddy's did this and there vp cans leak like a cunt out of the vent.... Buy the full can w. lid... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
