  4. The 21cc domes are for sale not the cool head. This will save you money if you decide to buy the Noss cool head in the future.
  5. I've decided to clean out my garage to help cover some of the cost of my recent build. All of the parts came off of a 99 Banshee that ran great and was still on a set of stock bore pistons (pistons looked new and the bike ran great before the build) Crank and Rods $165 I had Kevin at Herrjugsracing look at the crank to verify the it was in great shape. OEM Coil pack $30 (worked very well, I have a couple extra ones laying around so no need for this one) FMF Fatty pipes (Chrome) $200 Pipes are in perfect shape, no dents chrome looks great. Comes with Billet clamps Stock Head that was never cut $50 (compression was great and no leaks before I swapped to a Noss head) Noss 21cc Domes $35 used for 3months Stock Reed cages with Boyseen reeds $15 They worked fine when I pulled them. Factory air box with Pro Flow K&N adapter, 9inch K&N, and outer wear $65 (everything is clean and ready to bolt on) Pro Design billet shifter (measures 8" from end to end) $20 Stock Brake lever assembly (not bent or scratched up) $20 Key switch with 2 keys (plug end was cut off) $15 Light/Kill Switch with plug $15 works without any issues. Cascade extended throttle lever (the Aluminum one FAST sells) never used $20 Axle Nut with locking clamp $20 (Purchased at FAST) Billet Aluminum Radiator cooler tube thing???? $15 Twist throttle with cable and motorcycle grips $35 Pictures coming shortly................Please feel free to ask any questions
  6. Retail prices for some of the items; Busa Motor $2300 e-bay plus another $2,000 for a complete build up he better be able to get pistons, rods, crank, valves etc for that price. Turbo/EFI fall together in a kit with a GT35R sheet metal intake, injectors (Will need to upgrade from the injectors sent in the kit for the 500hp), Bosch 044 Pump, Motec Stand Alone, BOV, wastegate, etc $10K retail. You could peice together this kit for much less Custom frame around $4100 is LSR's price for cromoly He's owns a shop so I assume he is building his own custom frame or has a decent hook up, $80 for factory Busa wiring harness not sure if the Motec uses the factory harness or requires you to make your own Axle: I didn't look that hard but found an Aluminum one (LSR) which ran $900 so lets say $1800 Swingarm: Lets go with a $1000 Shocks: Lets go with $2000 Misc Parts Wheels tires, chain etc : 10,000 So far that adds up to $33,280 with pricing the parts a bit on the high side. No where close to your $50,000. I guess the other + $16,000 was wasted on food and Dyno time, Beer, and paying off idiots to brag about how much he spent. I'll have to go along with DSSA on this one by saying I highly doubt he spent anywhere near $50,000 on a Turbo Busa Banshee build.
  7. I'm looking forward to it, Josh and I are already starting to talk smack to one another. Once I get the motor back it will be a couple more weeks before I can ride, I'm powder coating the frame and new swingarm. I can't believe it only took a week from getting the motor to building it and shipping it back out. Thanks again, and I'm sure you will be hearing from my brother shortly after we race.

    swingarm

The $400 price is what I paid for just the swinger, the total package was $550 with the round style carrier. I've heard some horror stories about some of the e-bay swingers and decided if anything was going to break it would happen to me (I don't have the best luck). I'm sure some of the swingers are strong and would last but like I said I don't trust e-bay sellers, I didn't want to wait for a couple weeks to get it (Cascade had mine in stock), and a life time warrenty from a company who will probably be around as long as I have the bike is a big deal to me. All in all I'm pleased with the purchase.

    swingarm

I was not impressed with all of the swingarms I found on e-bay. I personally do not like buying anything off of e-bay because you always have to worry about getting scammed, the part being poor quality (copying a basic design is using the cheapest and least amount of material is what most e-bay parts are about), or if the part is a name brand, the person selling the part is not a distributer so any warrenty is void. Look at all of the pictures of the swing arms on e-bay then look at the swing arm I bought http://webforce.nwrain.net/founder/cascade...TORE_DEPT_ID=43 which one looks like it will hold up the better (keep in mind I ride in coal with large rocks), which one will probably be the easiest to have any issues cleared up? I paid $400 for a swing arm with a lifetime warrenty from a company who will probably be around longer than the E-bay seller. The bottom line is you get what you pay for.

    swingarm

I run a lot of trails and would have gone with a shorter swingarm but I really enjoy doing hill climbs and drag racing (I spend 75% of the day doing both). The $550 price didn't bother me. I wanted something unfinished since I'm powder coating everything in house, it comes with a JJA carrier, it's not a tube style swinger (which I really don't trust for the riding I do), and life time warrenty. I was also told the +2 helps out a lot with controlling the wheelie

    swingarm

I was asking the same question earlier this week. everyone told me to run a +2 as well for trails / hill climbs with my 4mm stoker/dune port. I ended up picking up the +2 unfinished (no paint/chrome) round style swing arm with carrier from Cascade for $550. Looks extremely strong for the hard trails I will be riding.
  12. My motor arrived at Kevin's this past Wed. I've seen the work he did on my brother's bike (Simple MX port that feels awesome) and can't wait to see how my motor turns out. I'm also in the same boat as you. Once I get my motor back I'll be waiting on the frame and other parts to be powder coated before I get the chance to see how it runs. Good luck with the rest of your build and let us know how well the bike pulls, I have other friends who need to be convinced.
  13. That's exactly what I wanted to hear, I'm looking into a couple diffrent swingarms now. The Cascade +2 setup with the round style housing/carrier Unfinished $550. (Will be powder coating everything the same color). The Tdubracing setup Round style on E-bay $304 without carrier. Round style carrier is only $168 from M&M ATV The +2 chrome swingarm from M&M ATV with carrier $600. I need to talk to each place first to see how much it will cost for brake line clamps and a skid guard plate. So far I'm leaning towards the Cascade setup (looks extremely strong). Anyone know of any pros or cons between the following brands?
  14. Thanks for the response. I've been trying to decide on which swinger to go with for a couple weeks. One of my friends who is riding a stroked 400EX wast telling me to go with the +2 as well. I just needed to hear from someone else with a Banshee before I picked the wrong swingarm (It always cost less to do it right the first time). Looks like I'm now in the market for a +2 round style housing swingarm. Thanks again
  15. I've searched the site to come up with an answer and still haven't found what I'm looking for. I'm currently rebuilding my bike and sent my motor to HerrJugsracing for a 4mm strocker, Dune Port, case porting, etc. After speaking with Keving he mentioned I may want to run a larger swing arm +4 to +6, but I'd rather stay between a +2 to +4. I will be riding the bike in Pa (Coal Hill, Mt Carmel, etc) and what to get everyones opinion on what will be best for me. I would like the bike to handle (Still run some tight trails and jump the bike) but would like to also keep the front end from lifting on hills, and when launching the bike (Drag race a bit in sand and on the pavement). I just need to hear how people feel their bike handles and how much the bike lifts with a +2 or +4. Any help would be great.
  16. I just wanted to give everyone my feed back of my recent purchase with chase@miamiatv.com. His ad was very specific, and he made sure to let the buyer know of any defects in the part. Chase was a stand up guy from the start and I would be more than willing to buy from him again. Thanks again for making this a very easy purchase.
  17. I've raced a couple of YFZ 450s with my Banshees and lost from a dig on a short run (rider/tires made the race) From a roll I had him by 2-3 bikes in the entire race (1st gear roll on). The YFZ only had a pipe, cam mod, and K&N, my bike had FMF pipes, Noss head 21cc domes, +4 timing, V force reeds, K&N pods, FAST Clutch, etc (every bolt on part) with a bone stock motor (no porting, STD bore pistons, gearing, etc). YFZ's are fast but with a couple of bolt ons it becomes a riders race.
  18. My brother had his top end ported and bored, by http://herrjugsracing.com/ The work was top of the line and he had it back very quickly. I just sent my motor there this week for a full build and have nothing but good things to say about the customer service. Kevin has taken a lot of time to make sure that every aspect is covered. Just my $0.02
  19. The Snell 95 is longer legal as of 2007, I also believe you may need to wear leather gloves, and a leather jacket. I would call the track you plan on running at to verify this before you make the trip. Some back wood tracks may let you get away with a lot more.
  20. Kevin ported my brother's jugs a couple months ago and the diffrence in the bike was incredible, I also just spoke with him this week and will be shipping my motor out to him this weekend to have it ported (Case and jugs) and stroked. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with his customer service so far.
