if you dont do anything with it, you just wont have a reserve, mines like that. just keep a closer eye on your fuel when riding if you leave it off.

just put a new 7mil together. After I blip the throttle it idles a bit high for a few seconds then drops down...nothing excessive, but not sure if its normal. I'll probably take it to my builder after this weekend, but wanted to know your guy's thoughts.

i just had mine apart & found that the white plastic gear inside the case had melted onto the pin & f'd the bearing all up. It still spun, it spun hard through the bearing, but barely...something to look at.

gonna be in florence or. this weekend. Gonna be a mellow weekend, new motor & takin the daughter, but if anyone is going to be there, would love to meet up.

i figured it out, closed the gap on the pickup a little & she fired right up. thanks for your replies, i appreciate the help...

i dont have a key switch. I took the on/off switch apart, checked it & continuity to its connector, all seems ok. I changed handlebars while the motor was torn down, so the on/off switch is the only thing electrical that got touched, but it looks ok.

just put a new 7mil stroker together & it wont fire. I bought all the parts from a friend & it was a running combination. I dont have any spark. I've checked continuity of stator & wires to connector, checked the operation of the pickup. Pickup is gapped at .020. Removed flywheel & made sure the woodruff key didnt push out. I'm lost, dont think i would have lost a coil or cdi box since I tore it apart last week. Any ideas? Going to florence or next weekend, need to get her going. Any help is appreciated.

have a set of stock carbs, 27.5 pilots, 310 mains, rubber intakes, reed cages with no stops & boyesen reeds. Carbs have tors removed & idle screws. They work great, building a 7mil, so dont need em anymore. $125

when I raced street bikes, we never used the clutch during upshifts, but always when downshifting. As far as making your pull easier, if you havent replaced your clutch cable in awhile, try that first, 12 bucks made a world of difference on mine...

have a motofast 2 into 1 & I want to weld on the new style o-ringed head flanges. Does anyone know where I can get them? I assume someone supplies them to pipe builders, or atleast I hope.... Any help is appreciated. thanks.
