  1. When left a few days, one kick without choke (30 to 40 degrees) starts right up. It won't take the gas good for a few seconds which is understandable. If I choke it, it still starts in one kick but obviously takes the gas better till it warms up. They come with 68 from the factory. I havnt changed anything because I wanted to get a direction to go in. When do my pilots stop working and let the mains take over? Do you think I should go right down to a 48 or somewhere in the middle of 48 to 68? Thank you for your help, now I just have to find a place that will have the mains I need in stock.
  2. I recommend cpi as well. I have them and I need jetting to run right, but when that top end hits, hold on. They sond real good too
  3. There are 160 mains and 68 pilots. when running the quad just using bottom end and checking the plugs, they are dark brown. when running WOT for a few seconds and the killing the ignition and checking the plugs they look about the same. I figured out today that when I drag, if I am wide open when this bogg comes in, I let off to half throttle and it getts a lot better but have to play with the throttle until it hits 5th top end, then I can hold it wide open and it runs good. I have no clue where to start. I never experienced this before.
  4. I would try cleaning the hell out of the carbs first. Take every jet out and clean the whole thing.
  5. I am running 35 pwks on a level 2 ported motor with cpi inframes. the motor runs great acept when I drag. WOT 1st 2nd and some of 3rd runs great then I get a little sputtering 4th same 5th same and then at the top of 5th it clears up and 6th is fine. Has anyone experienced this before? I am about sea level running 93 gas wit 20cc domes. Any clues would be great.
  6. I agree with going brand new, lots of money will be spent to get all of the seals and bearings that go with that. My pockets would only permit me to find a good welder. Once again it all depends on how bad it is broken. Looking on ebay is not my choice because there could be other issues like warping, bad seals bearings, and who knows what other head aches.
  7. Go with cases that are matched (came together) what reed cages do you have? If stock just replace them. I have vf3's and when I flipped them, they still hung open. If all the pieces are stil around, a good welder may be able to help you depending on how bad your case is.
  8. Found the problem today. the rear vent was pinched off. thank you for all of your help
  9. Wiseco are my choice. I've ran vito's super pro lites but they are too short off a skirt and don't last that long.
  10. Try looking at the needle valve that the float controls, if it has any rings on it or is worped, it will not seal. With the carb off and the bowl off, blow through the gas inlet and see if you can stop the flow of air by moving the float up and down
  11. Thank you for all of your input, I am going to go over them all tomorrow. Looking further into it today, I realized that the oil is coming out of the overflow tube near the water pump. No water is getting in. After shutting the banshee off, you can hear the pressure release when you un screw the oil cap. I am using Belray 80w for the oil. Maybe finding out this info you guys could narrow it down for me. Thank you for all the help.
  12. 20cc is the cutoff for regular gas 19cc usually uses race gas, 20 or 21 would be fine
  13. I just got my motor back from RDZ Racing with a level 2 port. I also ride in small to open trails, with rdz's port job the banshee gained power everywhere. It is excellent for small to wide open areas. Run 20cc domes, you don't need a lock up just heavy duty clutch and springs, I was told to run only 7 degrees advance. If you want a fun ride I would leave the swing arm the way it is. Rdz's port job hits ridiculously.
  14. I have a 2006 Banshee with is lightly modified. whenever I ride it the transmittion oil comes out of the overflow. Does anyone know what this is from?
  15. I will only run belray h1r in my banshee, I play it safe and run anywhere from 32/1 to 36/1. C12 has lead in it so that hepls lube too
  16. Also has 7 degrees of timing advance with b9 plugs. Next step cooler.
  17. I have an '06 with level 2 rdz portwork, hotrodz stock crank, .030 wiseco pro lites, cool head with 20cc domes, keihn 35mm pwk carbs with open airbox and cpi inframes. I need some help on what jetting I should look at to start. They come with 160 mains and 68 pilots. I live in lower New York and believe I am about sea level. I am familiar with jetting the 26mm, not 35mm. If anyone can help It would be great
