yes they are 100% for sure upside down, those are works AT steeler with multi rate springs, hard to tell because they are white, but those look like triple rate shocks, meaning one main spring, and 2 progressively softer springs above it the softer/smaller springs should be at the top of the shock , they are upside down, it will only take 5 minutes to fix em im not 100% sure whether or not it would effect their performance though (where is mattESC?) the idea behind multi rate springs is that the softer spring compresses and absorbs the small bumps before the main heavy spring comes into play on the bigger stuff

alongfortheride - what were you expecting for ~$40 ? it would be next to impossible to find a set of USED shocks without some of the paint rubbed/chipped off the springs, you are overreacting about that in my opinion, they dont look bad at all, there is MUCH worse out there most important is that they function correctly, remember these arnt rebuild able, so there is a lifespan , the springs can be painted if you are really concerned with those little tiny chips the only legit beef it sounds like you have are the missing bushings, which you obviously need in order to install and run them on your bike

you can buy the 500cc-twin 4 stroke version for $6k less than that when it comes out next year

tape the holes out for the next size up, thats what i did on mine when they stripped

awesome cummins dinner, i know youre big into those things so i imagine its pretty well done up, dont know a damn thing about them though had the pleasure of driving a 5.9 6speed a few times and loved it, nice color combo too, my favorite 2 tone combo for sure (gay hoodscoop disclaimer: the hood scoop was done by previous owner, i keep procrastinating on taking it off, dont want to messup paint)
