  1. oh...pull the carb off take the 4 allen bolts holding the rubber intake manifold to the jug off the reed cage will come off with the manifold(2 seperate pieces...manifold and reed cage) see if either of the reed pedals are cracked, chipped or warped, they should sit flat against the reed cage.
  2. are you asking how to check reeds...or repating what your buddy said?
  3. i'm with firehead 100% on this one...a arm pivot points are supposed to be as close to center of the "vehicle" as possible, look at the 250r frame thats been used in every form of racing with almost every engine stuffed in it. theres a reason everyone uses that frame...it was the best engineered suspension geometry to date. look where the a arm pivots are. to put that "kit" on something you might ride at any speed over 10mph is stupid...and unsafe at best. not only will bumpsteer be multiplied tenfold, the pressure on the kit itself is enormous when the suspension travels. asr or burgard a arms are the way to go if you want "economical" SAFE wider front end. i personaly dont think he knows what bump steer is and what causes it.
  4. i read on one of your previous posts about the blaster that you still have the oil injector connected AND your mixing your gas....your going to foul plugs like crazy...i would at least pull the clutch side cover off and remove the white gear...leave everything else there and cap off the oil line to the carb with a vacuum plug from an auto parts store. these pics might help if youve never had the side case off before if you remove the kicker nut and kicker, when you pull the cover off, put pressure on the kicker shaft so it stays on the engine case...that way you wont have to fight aligning the springs when you put it back together. just in case you find the kicker shaft off...this will help with where the springs go heres the gear you need to remove.
  5. broken reeds bad crank seal on the clutch side...very common blaster problem. what does the plug look like? this might sound stupid...but they choke didnt get left on by chance? the tors on the blasters will shut spark down 100%...so it wont just fall on its face.it will shut off altogether. have you done a compression test? i would check the crank seal and reeds first though. the clutch side seal is easy enough to fix so no worries if thats the problem.
  6. i can take as much ribbing as the next guy...but the non-stop shit after every post...its old already. i have banshee parts on my blaster...theyre great upgrades for the blaster shit. i've been told by many to come here for parts...but i'm not sure who would send you the shit after you paid or not...so far NYUK hasnt shown the "stand up guy" side of him that you speak of....
