More parts off the Silver Banshee

So do you still have the platics. I may get them next week. -
I think I am gonna go with white and do some flames, but if the plastics off the silver shee are still for sale when my tax money gets here its probably gonna get silver with blue flames. Thank you all for the advice!

Ya I am thinkin silver with some blue tribal style flames, I just cant get them until the tax man pays me. I put my old black ones on for now I will have to put some pics on here for ya'll to see, It just looks kind of fugly becaus ethe plastis=cs are so old and dull. P.S. your shee looks great!

Ya I used an sos pad and then scrubed the rest off with some chrome polish it took a while but its off now. Oh ya let the chrome polish sit on there for awhile to sofen it up some.

Ya i agree with the blues being off may look kind of odd i may just go black again but silver would look dope! does anyone have some pics of thier rides with a blue frame?

I just had her powder coated, and I am curious what color plastics should I do. I was thinkin black but I think blue may be good lookin too! The picurse kind of suck i took them with my phone.

So I am thinkin about gettin a new console but I am not sure which is the one for me. I have a ps2 and it has been fun but I am ready to upgrade. I have heard alot of good things about both systems but I figured that I would throw it out to my group of peers, the great people of the banshee HQ nation!

banshee sputtering mid to high range

When you open up the petcock valve does the gas drain fast or really slow? Mine was bogging out this weekend and it turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. My buddies 450r was doin the same this weekend and it turned out to be it was getting vapor lock from the one way valve on the gas lid, Just some ideas. -
So my buddy bought a 2000 bansh for a guy about a month ago, first time he took it out it blew. So he rebuilt it. Second time he took it out it blew up from what seems to be the orings on his his mod quad head. He swears he didnt pinch the oring, so he had the head and the jugs resurfaced. Put it together again and took it out this last weekend and it blew again diferent side but same blown out oring, and again he swears it wasnt pinched. He torgued it down to 22 pounds, He was breakin it in both times that it happened, what gives? Oh yeah the motor is a long rod with no base gasket spacer and the domes are milled for the clearence, it has a dune port and shearer pipes. Any ideas? :wallbash:

Usually if they have a spark arrestor factory it will say U.S. forestry approved, it is stamped into the muffler. If someone put one on it then look inside of it with a flashlight to see if you see what apears to a screen kind of looks like the same matirial as the screen door of your house, most of the time you can feel it with your finger.

I was goin to reply to this yesterday, but somtning was wrong with the server on the forum, I think. So I called his bi!@# as$ on Fri to ask when they were getting there and to see where they were camping. And he informs me that he has to work this whole weekend. F'in lame isnt it , I was soooooo pissed! So hopfully it will happen one of these weekends soon. He was probably just didnt want to lose his money! So I will keep you all posted on what the outcome is. Thank for all your replies!

So I am thinkin that I may try doin a 101 unleaded with 114 leaded, anyone tried that yet. I mean mixing 50/50 leaded and unleaded?

110 and 92 wouldn't that be mixing leaded with unleaded. That just sounds scary doesnt it?

Ya I'm thinking the same as all of you he should get a good launch with that 4x4 but he has no paddles so we'll see! I will be sure to let you all know the out come, I may just take my video cam so you all can see it with your own eyes but I hate luggin that f'er around so we'll see. And as far as my compression, I am runnin about 165, 170 range and Im at 800 ft, but I will be runnin at sea level down in oregon at sand lake. Do you think I am runnin to high of octane? Would a little lower octane help? Im not sure of the timing it has an adjustable timing plate, but no degree markers. I figured Cascade probably set it up with a timming light when they built it, but who knows.

Yes I know its not a Banshee but is is a Yami, but I am curious to see if anyone is interested in a Blaster for sale for 2500 or trade for a Banshee. Its my wifes bike It is in perfect condition it has an fmf gold series pipe and Banshee hubs Besides that it is bone stock. It comes with paddles on rims and dirt tires as well as the stock pipe, it is the red and white version of the blaster with the disc brakes and a big polished DG bumper . She rode my Bansh and wants one now. I can take pics of it too if anyone wants to see it. Just figured I would put it out there and see.

So what do you guys think, A buddy of mine said his buddy has this stock Bombadier 800 4x4 automatic that he said kicked the shit out of his DS650, The kid also says that he can walk on 450's too. So I bet this dude 100 bucks that my Banshee will beat him in a drag at Sand lake on the beach. I have a 2001 Cascade Inovations Banshee with a 4" swinger 9 paddle extremes a port and polish, 2 into 1 carb, cool head with 18cc domes, I run 114 octane, T-5's and cascade silencers. I also can walk on any 450 that I have raced. What do you all think will I be getttin a $100 bucks or should I stop by the bank on the way out there?

This is a little bit off subject correct me if I'm wrong but isnt the stock plate adjustable, and cant a shop time it to the degree that you want. And a good degree for a dune bike with a port is 4 degrees right.

Thanks for all your info guys, I think I am just going to stick with my single setup on my bansh bein that I am only a recreational duner. An d scratch the carb spacers since there really is no difference, I just pawn them off to some unsuspecting non BansheeHQ owner! Here is a pic of my baby, loaded up and ready for the dunes.

I have a couple of questions for you guys about my carbs. 1.So will I see any benifit to installing reed spacers to my single carb setup? 2. What do you guys think about single carbs are they better than a dual setup? I had some guy tell me that dauls are better because you can get more air into the motor. That doesnt make any sense to me because the single carb is bigger and the cylinders are sucking the air/fuel mixture at different times.
