  1. PC is the way to go like was said prior if the prep is done correctly it will last a long time and is very very strong be picky about who you let do the work a lot of people say ya I PC stuff when in fact the don't have a f$%king clue good luck and post some pics when shee is done :thumbsup:

  5. I did not swap plug wires i figured since it runs perfect with stock carb set up all in that area is good to go thinking eek needle 45 pilot 185/190 and try it again keep the ideas coming though thanks guys oh and this bike is only 3 months old so

The needle is a dej and the thing was sold all together he said he had it on his sons shee I checked all the insides of the carb looks good also do you use the o-rings between the reeds and the billet intake or did you use gaskets i got mixed info from trinity one guy said use gaskets and the other said use the o-rings i put all new seals in the carb and the intake and if there was a leak between the carb and the engine wouldn't that cause it to run lean and also if it was one of two the jetting should remain the same right it still is only feeding one cylinder at a time or am i just way out there i do appreciate all of your help i am bound to get this f#@ker going it is something very simple i am sure

Just wanted to mention that when I bought this set up (used) it had a 35 pilot and a 158 main seemed a bit lean so set up per trinity's specs to start think i should put them back in an see I am on stock carbs with 300 mains and a 27.5 pilot and runs great is the carb size change that significant :shrug:

    This is good to hear I just bought compresion/preload adjust fronts with piggybacks waiting to get them The people I tried to go through were dorks so I went through Elka direct would of went through your guy had I known bike looks good man :thumbsup:
  10. What do you mean by needle orifice the main jet or the part that holds the needle in the slide not quite sure what you mean I will go get a new needle this week you guys say the EEK or DEK is the best right

  12. cpi's run good road trueraiderfan's and i would put them on my next shee and sound great I told him after rideing with him I was jelouse of his sound and I think they are a little cheaper than most if you look around I run trinity stage 4 pipes also good and look great I would do CPI Jeff at F.A.S.T sells them I think
  13. I checked the intake while running with alcohol and no difference in rpm I put in new gaskets new reeds, even went back to the old reeds to verify they were ok . I just put all my stock stuff back on and all is good runs great. So what the hell THe left side just loads up with fuel. I set the float its good Needle is on the 3rd pilot is now a fifty still loads up freaking wierd man. should I maybe try some liquid gasket shit to eleminate the possability of a leak or would that just f@#k it all up, this is truely frustrating. any more advice anyone besides leaving my stock set up on it one thing I will say is that this set up looks really damn good mounted I was just wish I could get it run run as good as it looks ::

  15. I just installed a 2 into 1 w/ 33mm carb mods are Trinity Stage 4 pipes K&N no lid and new v force 3 reeds I installed the reeds at the same time as the 2 into 1. Jetting is 175 main 52 pilot air screw out 1.5 turns needle on the third clip (dek /eek no clue) and the left side is not running the same as the right almost running on one cylinder I saw that bigboy had a similar problem with his and sold it, are these things a joke or can they run your shee. I called Trinity for a starting point on the jetting and they say 170 main ( don't have) and a 50 pilot ( don't have ) and the way it is runing I really cant see a couple jet sizes making a difference if I just start to open the throttle it runs worse give it a little more and seems to run for a second but the left side smokes like a mother felt the exhaust gas on left side and it is cool (temp) give it more gas and right side will rev but left side blows even more smoke any suggestions i hate to give up on this but when my stock carbs ran great it is temping to just stick them back on I was just looking for a little more power and got what appears to be a big headache :shrug:
  16. any suggestions on a 33mm 2 into 1 jetting just installed I have stage 4 pipes K&n no lid v force reeds and jetting now is 3 clip dek /eek I have no Idea 175 main and 52 pilot and it seems to be only running good on the right side MAKES NO SENSE

I say try mouse's milk penetrating oil the shit is magic let it soak over night and you'll be surprised I have used it on wing bolts we couldn't get to move with a 9x rivet gun ( a minny jack hammer), after soaking it, it came right out with a hammer and punch good luck to ya, shit like that is just a flat out pain in the ass

You also can call Elka themselves I just made a purchase through them and they are all very easy to deal with and I am sure you can get those set up for you style for a few hundred bucks but by time you buy the shocks then send them off to get valves and springs it might be cheaper and or easier to buy new I just bought pb36c shocks piggyback compression adjust for $865 I will leave a product review after I ride the shocks F.Y.I.
  19. haven't pulled everything apart yet but I think the shock was bent by compression not impact I know they are prone for that plus there is no impact mark on the shock the a-arm appears to be ok from what I can see. I kinda popped up and over his right front side it just flipped my bike over and landed on the sixpack rack thats what bent the frame as far as I can tell I will probably have the time this weekend to look at the bike real good :shrug:
  20. I was in the "head on" everyone is talking about bent my rim (no biggy) my frame (not sure how bad) and bent my right front shock (just means I can get better ones) all that really matters to me is that niether of us got hurt. scared the holy shit out of me though

I had a blast for my first time at LS I wish I didn't smash my bike though I was going to get it back going again but LSPS wanted way to much cash for what I needed would of cost me about $750 so I decided to suck it up and leave. bigboy,bigblue,acient1,it was great to meet you guys and a big shout out to trueraiderfan that dude is one of a kind, I had a awsome time all thanks to him. It was like haveing a tour guide man he knew were it all was at, and wasn't scared of nothing. His bike runs like a mother to thanks for letting me take it for a spin in the big dunes bro. !SO WHATS THE DATES FOR NEXT YEAR! LAST WEEKEND IN MARCH (SHOULD JUST MAKE IT AN ANNUAL RIDE)?
