great info!!....i think there might be a difference between those slim ones and the oem porsche/lexus hids i have. (i used these before they started to become mass marketed, and they have lasted longer then any aftermarket ones i have purchased). this week im going to do a test run on them and see how it goes.

im curious, do the headlights have trouble with the heat from the hid...namely melting. i always assumed the stock housing was just to small to put an hid in. i had put hids in a buddys turn signals once, and they melted a hole clean through the lens.

got some headlights that where packaged as if they where thousand dollar cubs. (esp with the box saying millennium on the side, i half hoped lol) second time iv done business with them, good guy in my book.

not jetting issue. i had this setup wayyy fat to avoid problems. this was to be my spare motor i wanted it overly conservative.

looking for a top end.. 392 or 358 cubs....4mil or 350 stock cylinders dune/drag ported. let me know what u have.

ok with a cool head i inspected to see exactly what happened. it seems the little stop to hold the ring in place pushed into the crown allowing the ring to spin around in its gap...it spun all the way around to the exhaust caught and pulled up the recessed exhaust portion. rings were gapped correctly. just bad luck looks like.

took off the cylinders to do a trade, and something happened to the ring and pulled up the lip where the recessed exhaust area is (would never even have noticed if i didn't take it apart). lucked out that it didnt mess up the jug. PIECE OF SH**. thats my review on the low hour vitos piston.

i dont know if this is a dumb question or not...but is the only way to cut the dogs is using a mill, or could u grind it out with say a dremel? im looking to do something similar with the extra transmission i have. but havent found enough info on it yet.

yup thats what hes saying...the only difference so far is that its one piece like the cubs. itll be interesting to see how close they look like stock. is that price tag for only cylinders plated? they must be

stock or aftermarket.
