I have a 2000 that is still on its first top end. They dont just "blow up" its ususally a driver error on jetting or something simple like that. If you want a bike thats easy to work on, and that will scream for not a whole lot of $$ get a shee.

Yeah the difference in the pipe is going to be drastic. Nothing hits quite like a shearer when you get on the pipe.

If you are looking for a budget quad, a raptor 660 is tough to beat. They are cheap and there are lots of them around. Also a fun bike to mess around with.

Fot those kind of accessories I would go ebay. Its cheap and you can find anything you want... When you are ready to grin ear to ear, throw some pipes on that sucker!

I bought a used set of Paul Turners and one side was smoking more then the other too. I took the silencers apart and one side had packing, the other didnt. I fixed that and it smokes the same now...

I personally wouldnt drill a hold through my axle. I wouldnt like the idea of weakning the axle.
