  1. before you take it to a shop spray some startin fluid in the carbs while you hold the throttle open and see if it tries to hit if it does try to start then you have carb probs!..if that dont work try and borrow a stator from a buddy and cdi and just because they ohmed good dont mean they are!..trust me i know...
  2. motor has new pistons and rings!..id be willing to do some trading on a 400 scrambler or kfx700..

  4. lol..u guys crack me up on here!...i didnt say take a fucin torch to it put a lil heat on it and it wont make the crank expand neither it will pop off if they used any type of lok tight!..but like i said if it welded to the crank get the zawzaw out..

  7. did you put both used shocks on or just the one u needed?..if just one maybe put both used ones on it and see if that works..
  8. if the person before you lapped it on and red lok tight you will need to heat the crank end before it will come off so throw a lil heat on it and see what it does...but if it welded itself to the crank then it will have to be cut off which suxs!..
  9. CANT AGREE MORE ON TAKING PICS WHEN U START TO TEAR IT DOWN!..very important to show what caused this so it wont happen and again and see who is liable for damages also!>.

  11. these fellors are correct!...air leak - lean - fried piston n dome = more $$$$$ sorry bro next time do a leakdown test!..also from talkin to a few guys i know f.a.s.t aint cherry on building bikes and knows what he is doin!..
  12. also was the domes new?..one dome has color the other dont which makes us believe it was lean as well..
  13. i was told a ring snag caused this but being lean could have caused it or port job..is the exhaust ring broke?..when we blow the pic up it looks broke!..but we think it was a lean condition as well..
  14. agree no probs here neither!..if you dont run a washer it will mess it up and sometimes 2 washers..just make sure the impellar aint hitting the cover and everything is lined up proper..

  16. good luck is all i can say,most builders no matter what will point the finger at you and say you done something wrong but hopefully im wrong and he makes it right with ya...and yes if it all was new and he put the motor completly together then it was something he done wrong and needs to make it right!...
  17. hmm what type motor?..stock,cub,dm,cougar,caracal,etc...
  18. yes..take your reeds and intakes bac off and aply 1211 or 1194 or yamabond on the gaskets and reinstall and should seal it up...but if it was running good before you swapped reeds then thats were its leaking at so that should seal it up...
