u think a spark plug would make my right cylinder lean out and cause it to overheat?

i have it tore down right now

also what about the cdi i read where a guy was havi ng simular probs and the cdi was bad but would it cause just the right side to overheat.

yep i went and fattened it to make sure i wasnt lean,the carbs are synced the motor is strong and smokes the same out the pipes no hesitation what so ever just right cylinder hot left luke warm same with pipes its a mystery to me,we checked waterpump its good reeds are good tore down motor all is good cant figure it out the base gasket was not blown or leaking any info would be great its a 7mil cub alky w/lectrons 40/44 w/dave moore pjs later

well i changed my orings twice thinking that was the prob still same so i checked billet pump it spins so we tore down the cylinder rings perfect pistons perfect got new crank seal so we are stuck any help would be greatly appreciated

yea went a few weeks ago,how long does it take u to get there,it took us about 3hours.

hey were u race at i live very close to u im in virginia-pennington gap,also have u ever used a auto tranny before,hopefully your supplier explained to you the does and donts.very hard to grab the clutch after a big run thats why i always keep 2 fingers on the lever so i can pull the clutch before i let out of the throttle.the size motor u have it wouldnt take much to destroy your tranny,if i was u i would get my gears cryoed or billet tranny or at least the 2nd gear.

its not a stuck ring,the compression is good,check your stator for chewed wires or maybe its rusted or wet check your floats in your carb on the side thats not firing,i had the same problem and it was the float it was sticking and not letting fuel come out the carb.if your getting spark then its gotta be a fuel prob,if i can help u any more pm me.

its a crank seal so keep a eye on your tranny oil because it will suck all of it out if u dont watch it it will end up in the left cylinder as well thats why its coming out of both sides.and theres no way u could be that rich in your carbs unless u put way to much oil in your fuel.

i had the same problem had fire but cylinder wasnt hitting come to found out the problem was the stator had a nick in it we spliced it together and was checking the carbs which is lectrons and we had the float upside down which caused it to not get fuel :: damn i felt stupid we also tried it with one float that was a mistake i think

what do u mean u squeezed the cable and rubbed it on the plug im having a problem comprehending what u done i hope u can explain to me because im having the same problem but i cant seem to figure the prob out so easy ive tried everything that you can imagine ::

im having same problem my plug has fire also but right cylinder not firing,i started it one day and it screamed let it set for a while went back to start it and it started missing on the rightside weve checked everything we could still nothing tore it down and the rings and piston is perfect,well the only thing i can think of is the stator we changed the flywheel and the crank seals after that this problem started the day we done it,it was very hard to start but when it started it missed on the rightside for just a minute then both cylinders were firing normal but each day it kept getting worse,ive read every post on this site and planet sand and the same oh stuff check your plugs,swap carbs,swap reeds,check caps,check stator,air leak,crank seals ive tried it all so know im gonna put new rings and pistons and try that hope to god it works but i doubt it hope you find out for both are sake thanks if i can help just email me at moviesnmore@hotmail.com or pm me on here or planetsand my screen name is the same

check your float level sounds like floats are stuck or not adjusted right.

hey whats the gap suppose to be on the stator to the flywheel and how much is a match book.is there a #like the plug gap for alky is .018 thousandths

i bet u its the reeds mine done the same thing,have u looked at them to see if thats the prob thats the 1st thing id check instead of tearing into other things.
