  1. is the c clip and the keeper ring the same thing?? I am talking about the little thing that looks like a metal cock band thats broke... Just a ring thats not complete. I put the bushing ontop of the sproket, followed by the threaded piece with the nut on top of it and the cock band was in the groove in the splines on the axle. when tightned the nut pushed on the bushing (and chain sproket) and the threaded/ splined part pushed against the cock band. I tightned it all up good and then tightned the allen bolt.
  2. The keeper ring is tight to get on. is that normal?? I will have to try and spread it to get it on how far does it go on?? to the groove in the splines on the axle????
  3. I checked out durablues site and the lock nut they show is different than mine.
  4. I got a new durablue eliminator +2 +4 and Im putting it in. and I got as far as the lock nut that holds it all in. how does it go on?? there is like a spline part that has threads on the outside of it and then a nut that goes over that with a small allen head nut in the side of that and a little metal band with a cut in it. and I dont know how to put it all together. there is also like a little spacer that I think goes on that side too. anyone who can help please help me get this together. Im on the way to durablues site right now to see if I can get any answers. Thanks!!!!
  5. no I like the sst's I just think I could get more top end out of something like cpi, T5, or pt hi revs and I found a deal on a set of high revs. Im not baseing this on any real facts other than I just never see any heavily modded shees runnning sst's... Idk Im in a delema. I was gunna ditch the ssts for a set of T5's a while ago and talked myself out of it at the last min. now im thinking about it again...
  6. cool cool, I think Im gunna get a set and sell my sst's check out my sig. I have all the stuff you mentioned, I think they will respond better to my motor than the sst's (or I hope they will)
  7. does anyone have any experience at all with paul turner. I posted a question about his pipes but didn't get anything. someone must have a set or know someone who does. Im thinking of droping my sst's for a set of hi revs??? but I have to act fast if I wanna do it... Anyone????
  8. if you unplug your tors you can take the spring out of the throttle itslelf. There is an extra spring in there just take the throttle cover off and take the nut off the top of the throttle and take off the arms, washers, and spring. put it all back on but the spring...
  9. This was the straw that broke the cammels back with my other shee. I had one slide that stuck and I couldnt seem to make it go away so I traded the shee for a bike... now today my new shee had a slide stick for a second then free right up then a couple miles down the road it stuck again and this time I had to stop and take the carb cap off to get it down. any ideas???
  10. ok how do paul turner hi rev pipes compare?? They look different than anyother pipe out there that Ive seen. but how do they run. do they compare with T5's or cpi's or sst's or are they closer to DG???
  11. well I rode my buddys rappy this morning so I could get a feel of it then did the jet swap this afternoon and cut a huge hole in the top of the air box. then I took my shee and my gf took the rappy. when we where running up the roads she was sneaking up on me and flying by me and It took me several seconds to get back past her. then we swapped and I rode it for a while it really woke up nice. I was impressed just swapped out the stock 140/145 jets for a couple 160/165's and cut the air box and she runs much nicer. still boreing 4 stroke power but just a little more of it...

  15. whats the best way to check if its warped?? Im gunna take it off and look all over for chips or nicks and check the torque on my base bolts but im not sure if I have anything flat enough to tell if its warped... what are guide pins????
  16. My problem is different, I just got back from the dunes and it is def coming out of my overflow. and its cool... my res bottle is still quite full but I wanna get it taken care of. Im pretty sure its the head gasket pressurizeing the system but why. I ordered a new head gasket from my stealer so when it gets here (prolly friday) ill pull my head and I should be able to tell if the old one was leaking but I dont wanna pull it till the new one gets here.
  17. stock for stock Id put my cash on the 450 but nothing wakes up like a banshee when modded. Id say with a few good mods a banshee is hard to beat (top end drag race) expecially properly tuned... Id love to race one my self just to see...

I have been getting cool antifreeze blown on my leg lately when Im pushing the revs pretty good and the last two times this has happened it was the head gasket. why am I going through head gaskets. I am torqueing the head nuts to specs, and I only have about 126 lbs of compression, nothing radical but I seem to be going through a head gasket every 15 tanks or so what gives????? any ideas appreciated!!

  20. a sports cam is pretty hard to fit into a banshee but I think the gas gas would be pretty competative but they are quite over priced and that name (gas gas) kinda sucks

  22. I really like the looks of the nos head and Ive heard alot of good stuff about them. If I had the cash to just go buy one that would be the one I'd get. unfortunately I cant blow $200 right now but I'll prolly be able to get one soon ...
  23. last summer I traded my $10,000 shee for a $4000 98 cbr 600 smokin joes edition and regreted it ever since. This summer I sold the bike on ebay for $2300 and bought myself another shee . I will never let this shee go NEVER!!!!!
  24. The only problem with this is, pulling 400 lbs of shit will def slow me down...
