OK well i bought these nerf bars off of a guy but i cant get the clutch side peg to go on with the nerfs. that side has a curve in the peg and i cant bolt the nerf to it?? its weird that they would make it like that...anywho i was going to take some pics to show you guys but i can never get them to upload on this site anywho if anybody can help me that would be great.....or even take a quick snap shot of yours to show me how its set up...... thanks aot for any input!!!

  3. hey guys i know most of ya arent from canada, but was wondering if anyone knows of anybody that lightens flywheels.....i might consider sending it to the states but since i dont have an extra just in case ....im kinda scared to send it too far....anyway if anyone could tell me where the best place is thanks guys
  4. I've got the v force 3 reeds and i love them, as soon as I put them in I noticed a huge difference in throttle response.
  5. Check your cylinders to see how bad the grooves from the rings is and get it bored out, the nearest machine shop willt ell u how bad it is but usualy your safe to just bore 0.010 . I bought soem WSM pistons on ebay for 120$ which came witht he whole kit, rings circlips,pistons,gaskets,pins,bearings.......its pretty simple to throw together.
  6. hey guys i know this aint the carb section but i usualy only come in here anyway....anywho im just putting together my top end with new jugs this winter and I was wondering if I should go with bigger carbs?? the guy i bought these jugs for had his carbs bored but i dont really wanna spend then money to keep the same stock carbs.....anyway my question...what size of carbs should I get and are they set up the same for pilot jets and mains if they are aftermarket ??? I heard that i should get the 28mm but cant even find any.... thanks in advance for your inputs!! sorry forgot my mods fmf rev pipes with t-4 silencers open box with K&N dyna jet kit(will be running 320 mains and 30 pilot) v force 3 reeds advanced timing by +4 high flow impeller barnett clutch kit PWR radiator Port and polish jugs with WSM 0.10 over pistons ----slightly milled head
  7. My banshee had a similar problem and it ended up being the stupid TORS system that was cutting my carbs out....just unplug the little black box that is located on the frame in front of the left jug....hopefully that helps!!

  9. oh ya i got some razor 2 in the back......they are nuts .....anyway ive got a question about the gearing while we are on that topic.......ive got a 15 tooth in the front so should i go down in the back to a 40 or 39???............and one more question (lol) i wanna get my flywheel lightened but i dont think i trust anyone in this town...
  10. what kind of mods do u have, i clocked my bike at 81 miles and hour and this is what i got fmf gnarly pipes with t -4 silencers v force 3 reeds K&n and no lid dyna jet kit advanced timing +4 high flow impeller over seize rad by PWR barnett clutch kit and now my jugs are on there way back, they are port and polished .010 over + i just bought some rare pipes called fmf revs(top end) now i think once all my stuff is back together i ll be hitting around 90 miles
  11. sorry man but if that is aluminum your not gonna be welding that with a wire...your gonna get it tigged which u absolutly need to have cleaned...ive worked in a fab and repair shop for 5 years and even when we fix aluminum nickel haulers we have to clean it with some kind of acid to make it bare......your best off cleaning
  12. I ve got a radar gun and we clocked my buddies stock banshee at 72 miles an hour, then he put a set of fmf gnarly pipes and got 76 miles with stock gearing but just changing your front sprocket will never get u to 80 miles an hour because u need the power to push that 15 tooth sprocket

Actually remove the chrome..the reason the welder told you to remove the chrome is because it is impossible to weld on CHROME....once u start welding over the chrome u will contaminate your weld which will make it weak or unweldable.....if you dont take the chrome off then the welder im sure will but charge u extra(so save yourself the headache and wire wheel it a bit where the crack is)
  14. chrome is weldable, the only thing is that it wont shine at that spot anymore afterwards....and it should be fairly cheap to fix.....if it is aluminum...then its a little more expensive but i would go ask any local shop.
  15. what I want to do is run my low beams but i cant just find the main power....i alos have a regulator that has to be connected in there......so i aint sure if the red wire is power which is not really hard to find out but i still gotta know which wires to connect on which side
  16. hey guys hope you guys can help me out....i bought a toggle switch to convert my lights over...its a 2 position switch....now i took my stock switch apart and there is 5 wires....i seen the electrical diagram but they only show 4 wires.....ok so i got the yellow wire with the red stripe which is for the regulator...blue wire for the taillights.....solid yellow for high beams.......green for low beams...but i also have a red wire!!!! lol can anyone tell me which wires to put together so i can run them on a switch??? thanks alot guys

  18. ok so all this sounds good, im thinking of doing it to my bike now :biggrin: ....but..couldnt u aslo get a three prong switch to keep your high beam /low beam???like a three position switch? let me know!!! and also does anyone know how to post the pic for display?? thanks
  19. hey guys ok well i bought a set of jugs that came with a shaved head...thing is that a ring i think broke inside the jugs and the head has marks so i was wondering what u guys think i should do or if i can use it like this?? also while im here....can anyone tellme what is the point of changing from a 28mm to 30mm carb?? just wondering if there is a big power difference or if its basicly just for draggin? i posted a pic of the head check it out thanks guys
  20. hey guys, well i bought some jugs off of a guy on ebay for realy cheapt hat have some porting done to them, he told me that i should widen up my tranfer ports on the casing on my engine, now does anyone know how hard this is or if there is an easy fix?? and also, im running stock carbs right now, i was thinking of buying some 28 mm but im not wure what is the best and if i do change carbs , will it be alot harder on fuel?(not that I care) and one more wut kinda pistons are more reliable heres what i got on my 03 shee -fmf rev pipes with toomey t-4 silencers -open air box with K&N -dyna jet kit(290 main) -+4 advance timing -v force 3 reeds -pwr oversize rad -turbo impeller -barnett clutch kit -(the jugs that i bought, havent installed yet) -15 tooth sprocket

  24. ya like i posted the jugs are on there way port and polish, thanks for the post tho, can u think of any other mods i can do that would improve the speed??? ive been radaring it and all i hit is81 miles a hour....15 tooth sprocket in the front and the stock 41 in the back :baseball_original:
