  1. Got any dyno runs with these? Possibly comparing to other pipes?
  2. That's still not the point I'm getting at. So when a tranny is backloaded the shift forks are usually the 1st thing to show/go right? Well if you replace them with something that will withstand that wear and tear what is the next component to break? I'm not trying to be an ass, just asking a question and opening up for discussion.
  3. I wanna race on this track, I'd be running 3.5's
  4. Just pull the clutch cover and see if everything is normal. God can't people just stfu in someone else's post and not be an internet pussy tough guy. Geez you look like retards.
  5. That's not what I was getting at. If the shift forks are the 1st thing to go in the overrides, and you make them stronger what is the next piece in the transmission to break?
  6. Another thing to think about is what will break in the tranny if you put in billet forks. The stock ones seem to be the weak link, bending and what not so when you replace the weak link something else is going to break.
  7. We've noticed the change in castor's color too. But we've also tested castor and klotz and I think the klotz separated out after awhile. I still use it and just shake the bike up before starting it.
  8. Sloryder I commend you too wanting to do this on your own. I'd rather just pay someone for their knowledge since they've already made the mistakes and know waht they're doing. And Profilact, it barely takes a setup cub to run good and beat a stock cyl. bike lol. I took my cubs straight off my dune ported stock cylinders onto my cub, same with pipes, same frame, tires and everything and it kicks ass. I'm not saying a stock cylinder bike can't run good, but get your info straight before you start spouting off in someone elses thread.
  9. Fixing to get a 1-5 Rudy Kurtz with neutral in stock position. Supposedly it is duneable, but apparently Rudy never cut any/many duneables but he is the man for overrides so I got it anyways. I'm going to try to get it converted to duneable if possible. I'd definitely be interested in something from yall's shop if you produced one. You definitely have your shit straight.
  10. W/e the hell he's trying to do here. Is quite interesting that Matt built a set though. If he put 1/2 as much dyno time into this that he does his other stuff they'll be legit.
  11. Shoulda bought some T-5's
  12. Pull one of your plugs out and have someone kick it over real hard and see if it's getting good spark. Helps if it's dark too.
  13. Eh we don't really know, it's for my own peace of mind and I've been doing it for 2 years with no problems. And yes I know the 2nd part also but we don't have a better way of checking it so that's what we go off of. Edit: What would you suggest as the 'best' method?
  14. Hm, I got one out of a 421 cub but it's not makin quite 100hp and I won't be able to get to it for another 2 1/2 weeks. Sounds like a cool deal though for someone.
  15. Not necessarily. Depending on squish and if any porting or clean-up was done he could be fine with those domes. I have a .020 base gasket on mine with 19cc domes and am barely at 155 psi cranking compression. I run 91 with 20 oz. of methanol just for a little peace of mind but I'm sure straight 91 would be fine.
  16. Bump for a good seller
  17. I wouldn't think you'd need too much lower. Do your plugs look ok if you ride it in the rpm's that it's not blubbering on? Do they come out oily or really wet?
  18. I didn't know PWK jets went up to 272? I'm running the same setup with 35 pwk's and have 155 mains. You're quite a bit higher in elevation so I'm thinking maybe a 165 would work. Or do 39 pwk's take different jets
  19. Is the timing plate adjustable?
  20. Yes, and they're great
  21. haha you didn't break 'em. That's how they're designed. You can try the ratchet strap idea or just pop the ball joint down into the knuckle with a rubber hammer and see if that'll keep it from spinning when you put the nut on. And use an impact if you have one seems to work for us
  22. I sure hope he believes in the duneables, I'm working on a deal with a guy on here for a 1-5 duneable from Rudy...hm, anyone got his phone #?
  23. Some people's definition of beating the shit out of a tranny is way different than others I think. I'm pretty sure I would destroy one of these too if I used it how he claimed.
