  3. Well it ran pretty decent yesterday ,but I tryed to start it today and it fired and the right side backfired loud twice then quit runnin and the left ran fine.I know I need to do A leak down test but I dont have the cash for on right now.But what do you think about it runnin like that?thanks

  7. Sorry I copletely forgot about the compression test.I just ran out and did one and they both peaked at 120psi.I dont know if thats good or not.thanks

Ok,I took the fuel valve off and cleaned it.It was A little dirty but nothin to get excited about.Then I got lookin at the fuel lines and the one goin from the tank to the T was kinda travlin up hill.And so was the one goin to the left carb.So I ran new lines routing them the best I could and it runs great!My only problem now is when its up to temp the right muffler smokes and pings and the left does not.But it idles fine,is that A problem.thanks
  9. Well I got new plugs today and ran it and its still boggin and it sounds like the left side is cuttin out.The plugs are perfect color,and it idles better than ever.I was lookin around and the fuel line going from the tank to the carbs has air bubbles in it.could that be the problem?thanks
  10. No, I let off the throttle whenever I shift.Its just sometimes it wont go to the next gear unless I really give it A good flick.
  11. I got a pair of AC pro pegs off e-bay and their built pretty good.aluminum ones.

  13. yea I made sure they moved up and shut the same with a little gap for idle.still boggs a little but once you get passed that it rips pretty good.ill haft to get new plugs.thanks
  14. whenever I try to rap my quad out it will sometimes go into neutrile or not shift at all and ill haft to try and try again.whats the deal!thanks
  15. I live in Kawkawlin/its near Bay City.well I took the air filter off and synced the slides with A 1/8 in gap when down.The pilot scews are 1 1/2 turns out ,its a little better.It doesnt backfire anymore but still boggs.I did not change the old plugs,do you think thats the prob.thanks

  17. I dont have a clue what size pilots are in there,my screws are turned out 2 to 2 1/2 times.How do you sync by eye?thanks
  18. the plugs are wet at idle,at higher rpms their sooty dark brown black.should I try moving the e-clip up?is there any way to syc the carbs without the tool?
  19. im sorry I goofed on the main size, they are 280s.Should the slides in the carbs close completely when I let off the throttle.their not stickin im just thinking their out of adjustment ,thanks I stay in Kawkawlin,the oil I been using is Klotts techplate2x at 40 to 1.I use NKG race plugs and their black.

Hi,I bought myself A 1989 banshee and I dont know alot about it thats what brings me here.The way I got it was with A fresh rebuild .30 over,FMF fattys,boost bottle,K@N,and boysin reeds.I have A problem with it bogging on take off then backfiring.But if I keep the bitch sceaming thu all the gears it wont.I took the carbs off and cleaned them good,checked all the rubber boots and intakes for leaks and their fine.I have stock carbs with 230 mains,im not sure what size the other ones are.I checked the plugs and their both dark.Im lookin for some good tips,it will be well apreciated thanks
