  1. Yea I would go up on the pilot jet,27.5 maybey A 30?Is your choke tube in place?
  2. Yea I planned on getting the crank rebuilt and welded,so with +4 timing .025 is what im gonna shave it at.Thanks alot man!
  3. Id say your getting alot more flow with the K and N filter,if you have 190 mains in there now your probly running A little lean.I would try at least A 220 main maybey even A 240 but youll haft to read the plugs to know for sure.
  4. Well by the time I put the engine back together ill probly set it at +4.
  5. Im having it shaved and I was wondering how much to take off.I wouldnt mind running 50/50 for the extra umf,and what does rechambering do to the head?
  6. Craftsman brand compression tester is pretty good, its like $35 dollors. To test it you thread it in the plug hole with the proper length adapter and kick it until the gauge maxes out, while kicking it hold the throttle all the way.hope that helps.
  7. Are the floats out of wack?
  8. CPI,s work better with larger motors,T-5's would be better for your setup.
  9. It should right on the side of it unless there unstamped.
  10. If you go to the jetting forum at the top there some pinned topics with some great info.Hope that helps
  11. Are they turbin core silencers,if so they should fit any FMF brand header. If your running A k and n filter without the lid I would put 280 mains and the e-clip in the center position.Try that out and do A plug chop to make sure your jetted right,do A search on it and youll get some good instructions.
  12. You can get the puller off ebay for like $22 plus shipping,I wouldnt attempt it without one.And definetly dont use the finger type puller on it,all youll do is damage it.
  13. 220 mains seem pretty low for pipes and reeds, are you still running the stock air filter and box lid?I would put some 280 mains in there and you would probly notice A difference in power.
  14. Well you want someone who knows what their doing when it comes to shaving the head and lightening the flywheel.Shaving the head will bump your compression up which will give you some more bottom end power.Lightening the flywheel will help your engine rev faster due to less restriction.Advancing your timing will give you more bottom end power, you can install one yourself but you need the right flywheel puller.
  15. Search leak down test, couple good articals.
  16. Could do A pressure test(leakdown test)to be sure.
  17. Well bolt ons are A little more exspensive,V-Force 3 reeds are good.Noss coolheads are nice too.
  18. Bill

If its in good condition,if not just use fiberglass insulation.Thats all that stuff is.
  19. Adjustable timing plate(35),lighten your flywheel(50),shave your head(40)those are less expensive than most.
