  1. well, i just lost my job, so i might move back to michigan, if all works out with finding a job up there... you better believe that i will be making lots of trips to the dunes.
  2. i'll pm you after my paycheck (thursday) see if you still have one sitting on the side for me.
  3. north west? its wet sand... but it might be cleared up by next weekend. now, north east corner is kinda clear but it is also directional left to right probably wouldn't be a problem but might wanna make sure. there was a small group doing it at the original drag location... south side, in the non directional... all the whups are there but in that area useally has some nice dry stuff.
  4. i'll be sending money sometime this week... ive been looking online for how-tos here and there but couldn't really find much... sweet that i found this.
  5. the drag on the west side of directional (by the exit) was half covered in water, enough room for about 5-7 bikes... with the normal cut off of where people sit and watch. down by the beach, in the center was pretty wet sand but no puddles., not the launch area but that should be dry by this weekend. and at the north end of the beach it was pretty wet ALL over there. i was out there last weekend but not on the banshee, yz125 and a stock TJ... couldn't get the carbs working right... so its sitting at the shop right now getting worked on... i won't be back up till june at the earliest i think...
  6. damn ya'll are lucky... it was very wet everywhere... but it was way worth the drive... im sad that i can't go up again for a while.
  7. How are the dunes... i am heading up tomorrow! (well, drive all day tomorrow, ride friday night, saturday, and sunday)
  8. i'll be up there for the 11th and 12th... depending if i can get the quad running, jeep, bake or the shee... we'll have to see. as for dB testing... ive seen it and had to get silencers, and yes i got ass raped by duneland. its quite rare but if you are noticeably loud.. they will say something.

  10. I just ordered the kit from FAST but want to read the instructions as many times as i can... and i don't have it yet. anyone have these? or just some pics/write up somewhere? i found 2 pics showing where to drill for the idle screw but thats all i have found. please help!

  12. well, i finally had a second to sit down and call, you guys weren't kidding... GREAT GUY!!! already had my stuff shipped out when i got to work this morning and i called him last night at like 5:30 (central)

Im going to be calling him soon, but wanna know this so i don't sound like an idiot on the phone (i know he will be reading this) I am gunna be getting the jet kit but want to rebuild the carbs also, do i need both of these things or just one? and is the jet kit for both carbs or just 1? and finally, the needle looking thing in the carbs, does that come in one of these 2 kits? because mine are bent THANKS!!!

  17. im planning to rebuild this one while i have the other one in the quad. what im trying to figure out is what is a good check to make sure the case is good (when bending/twisting a crank, does it oblong the seats?) i looked for cracks and don't see any. and im about to pull it all apart so i need to know what to look for to see if the case is good or not? im pretty sure i need a new trans... or atleast a few gears.
  18. i got it sitting in my living room in alabama right now, i was gunna pull it apart the other night then had to do laundry. is there any good checks to see how good it is without taking it to a shop to check stuff? i know the rods don't rotate smoothly. if that means anything.
  19. ok, i know the crank is twisted... just don't know how to make sure its still a good case... i know the pistons are bad (the bottoms broke off both of them)
  20. i'll be in silver april 11-12. its the second weekend after opening. staying at my parents cottage, right in town (across the street from craigs cruisers). thats the only trip i have planned so far.
  21. I have a stock motor with T5s on it, im getting a set of Keihin 34s because my stock carbs are junk and its time to start improving on the bike. The bike is ran only in sand dunes and about 5-10 times a year for a weekend each time. can someone either help me figure out what needle and jets i need for this or point me in the direction of where to get this info?
  22. except im buying them the tops are stripped, so they are junk... i believe. these are the 2 ends for where the carbs were. here is the original problem... broken throttle cable housing. here is the filter/adaptor that i have. does anyone else hate trees? t5 ftw. and my durablue axle. a full pic of the bike
  23. haha, its cool. my building me basicly me and the people on the forum. the tops are stripped and that is why it wouldn't run. why buy stock when i can go bigger?! the city you are looking for is silver lake, mi or mears, mi or even shelby, mi. mears and shelby are basicly right there off the highway, and silver lake is the city that the dunes are in. as for these new carbs, im getting cable(s) and the carbs. if i get pics of my air box will that help in figuring out what else i need? im only up here for another day, then i go back home till april when i have 1 day to work on it before we hit the dunes. also, is there a thread somewhere around here about tuning these carbs that i cant find?
