Me and my group are planning a ride to Little Sahara, Utah next June. We usually go to St.Anthony ID, but decided to do both next year, first go to Little Sahara, then to St.Anthony. We will be going the second week in June. My question is, some people are telling me that it will be in the high 90s-100s that time of year and is too hot to ride, is that true? is that much different from St.Anthony? We ve always gone there that time year in ID and never had problems, usually great weather.

how is your pickup coil gap? check it on both spots of flywheel? maybe try buying one of those $5 inline spark checkers and ride around with it on, when bike starts to act up, look at spark checker and see whats going on. Be able to find out if it really is ignition

left cylinder missing and has fresh new topend

if the bad cylinder will fire with the choke on, sounds like a fuel problem. Double and triple check that the pilot jet AND the passageway is all clear -
that is definitely something to consider. In MI they will put up a fuss about homemade spark arrestors and sometimes not let them pass. Spark Arrestors from any OEM or aftermarket exhaust company need to be certified by USFS to be 100% official. If you do have that problem, the Cobra Sparkys are certified to be fit onto any pipe, so those would work for you

i would take a close look at your clutch. Also, maybe its not stuck in too high a gear and its bogging the hell out of it, and then the clutch starts to slip making the noise? just an idea. I had a right crank seal go once and it sucked all the fluid out of my tranny, the clutch made the most horrendous metal scraping noise, im thinking maybe thats what your hearing. Also your fluid being gray could be from a lot of clutch material in it

you can also buy the Cobra Sparkys, 2.5 inch rounds. They look like crap, but are easy to take on and off if need be. I had a set and drilled them to use the end cap screws to hold them on instead of the cheesy hose clamp they give you

Runs like $hit after a half hour or so

check the other stuff, but i would be highly suspicious of RS stator. I have had nothing but problems with them. If you still have stock one, try swapping it in and be sure to set your pickup coil gap -
i had to shim both ends of the hangers, fits perfect with no rubs
-
i have always ran Mobil One 10W30 full synthetic in tranny with no problems, was recommended by Vitos
-
mine was from www.magicracing.com, i think it was like $125
-
i would do the same

i just bought a set of these for my CPIs, cascade innovations hangers, look good, still have the rubber damper, and the screws to reinforce the damper. Supposed to be good.I will find out http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/ne...tore_dept_id=17 those TM design ones look cool, how much were they?

they are bright, but be sure to bring extra bulbs with you. They sell them at Home Depot or Lowes. The chrome doesnt hold up the best either

i have one on mine, makes riding in whooped out sand MUCH better
-
i have the IMS healguards with IMS pegs on mine, made for a banshee. Got them about 2 years ago. They are nice to have

i have an AC 6 pack rack on mine, works very well. I found a gas can that fits it perfect and holds 2.25 gallons, really extends the range. Also since i have a +6 swinger it makes it much easier to move around with the grab bar handles sticking out farther

i got a phone call in response to my email i sent them, i have to say for as bad as their products are, their customer service is #1. They definitely want to make things right for the customer. If they could just get their products to be as good as they were 5-8 years ago, i would buy whatever i could from them. Whoever convinced them to have all their shit made in Taiwan should be shot, its going to put them out of business. I would easily be willing to pay more for a quality product that is reliable
-
Honestly, yes i would. My bike is the one iridea250r is talking about. I just got done sending them a novel about how their products are hands down the worst stuff in the whole ATV industry and asking them how they can sell stuff that they know is garbage and constantly come back in pieces. I've had countless stators go bad and now the flywheel too. Worst part is that it doesnt matter if they warranty or not, because when the shit fails, it screws up all kinds of other stuff too that they will never reimburse you for

know of another company besides RS?
-
yeah, thats what i want to do, but its $350 for a new stock one and my original stock one got all beat up. efff

I have a ricky stator flywheel on my shee and i am starting to wonder if i should leave it on. I had NUMEROUS problems with their stators and finally gave up and went back to the stock one. The whole reason i have a RS flywheel on now is since one of RS stators had their hardware break and sent it into my lylwheel, making a big mess. But anyways, i have seen threads on here where people have had the rivets on the RS flywheel loosen up and start destroying stuff. So my question is how many people have had this problem and how many have had 0 problems with theirs, and if so for how long? im trying to get a feel if this was an old problem that has been fixed in the manufacturing or if its still happening. Thanks

good point. If you really dohave 190s then just a rejet will give you your power boost. im pretty sure FMF gives you 260s with their pipes
-
Im in northern OH and i cant say i know of any good shops for banshees in the area, the closest would be in sounthern michigan probably because of Silver Lake buy a manual and a set of torque wrenches. Save a ton of money

those are some powerful specs for that battery. And i will look into those other HIDs. My friend has the trailtechs on his YFZ and he has the problem of one not firing occassionally. The other stator brands i looked at and look pretty good, but if i get one of those i might as well just keep the lights i have which are more than enough. I was going to do the conversion only if i was able to keep stock stator. With buying a stator, regulator, and lights, it gets a little expensive for lights i use once in awhile. Thanks for all the info, you definitely told me what i wanted to know. I just have to make up my mind now
