  1. Agreed....Carbon build up with any type of motor 2 or 4 stroke is mostly from improper jetting or from loading the machine up a lot. A properly tuned motor should allow for most of the oil to fall out of suspension before it reaches the combustion chamber. Don't remember if I came accross this article here or somewhere else but it is pretty good. http://motorbicycling.com/f30/motorized-bi...-cycle-305.html
  2. Post in the wanted section...I did this about a week ago and got the entire system and it was in pretty good condition. Finding a silencer in really good condition is a little tricky, mine had the stock rubber mounts gone and a big dent on the bottom but it should not be hard to fix it up looking new again. My father in-law has a bunch of those rubber mounts with a stud in each end so that is no issue and I am just going to melt some aluminum into the dents and grind them down. Haven't really heard a lot about how they perform but the sound sick so I bought them. Anyone out there that runs them and can explain what I can expect for the powerband I would much appreciate it. I called DMC and they just say they are good from bottom to top. LOL.
  3. This is what I had originally thought. I hate the stockers but I need a full heel gaurd, not the little half guard that comes on a lot of nerf bars. I realize that if I were able to buy banshee heel guards like some of you have they would probably bolt right up for me as well. So I wonder if I bought Raptor footpegs and heelguards if I could get some nerf bars to fit with those as well since they are probably in a different location the the stock foot pegs.
  4. Never heard of doing a compression test on a cold motor of any sort...unless of course it won't start. I am no expert on banshee's but that is my .02.
  5. Has anybody modified IMS Heel Guards to fit onto a Shee. If so what model of quad did you buy them for and how hard was it to get them to fit? Pictures would be great.
