I had the same exact problem last week I wish I would have done one thing at a time so I knew for sure what fixed it. here is a list of what i did I diconeccted all the tors electirical and cleaned the connections I took the carbs all the way appart and cleaned them and rejetted up a size I also took the head off and noticed that I had a broken o ring put it all back together cleaned it and now it runs like a dream. good luck

I put a e brake block off and messed up my tors or somethin cuz when I start it it will not rev, when I hit the gas it just bogs right away I know it's cuz I took the e brake cable off and I need to over ride that stupid safety switch for the damn thing but I don't know how yet and the clymer does'nt say anything about it. HELP.
  6. Go to your local auto mart napa ect. and get a plastic radiator repair "patch kit" it comes with a mesh that you lay down first then with an appoxy you brush over the mesh, it hardens like cement should work good for you good luck,
  7. personaly I think it is lame to dis on any bike just because it doesn't serve your purpose, the four stokes are awsome fun for everyday all kinds of riding, no they are not practical drag bikes and it does not make sence to try and make them compete with the shee's at that aspect but for what they are they are great. put a shee up against any new 4 stroke stock or not, mod for mod any where but a drag strip and the thumper will make the shee look lame. now I am not ripping the shee by any means, there is noting like them at the hill and for cheap horsies and thrills,I am mearly stating that I am tired of hearing about how one is so much greater than the others they are nothing alike and they were not meant to be alike so why be negative towards one or the other In my opinion the perfect setup is to have one new 4 stroke(450 R) and one modded shee in the arsinal that way when your tired of running the hill or your shee takes a shit on you you always have a reliable spare any way if someone who has riddin one and would like to answer his question I would also like to know what the 700 is all about.

  9. Lets get some more info is you bike newer older what? how long have you owned it and how long have you had this problem?
  10. I use atf type f it seems to work great and as far as I can tell it is very similar to bel rae it even smells the same and is ahell of alot cheaper.
  11. Thanks guys for all your help I think you might be right about the tors and my carbs are probley way out of wack but I guess it's all a small price to pay since I only paid $1000.00 for the whole bike.
  12. I did a compression today and both cylinders are at about 140 psi I guess I'll take off the head and check it out
  13. One thing you'll learn with banshee's is that you could have 2 hours on a new part and it could shit out on you

A new oring kit came with the head and yes the head was stock I looked at it last night and noticed that the left cylinder has a small leak on the back side, so I need to pull the head and see WTF after I get it back on I will do a compression test and let you guys know the results thanks guys. PS. sheppick I might throw in some higher compression forged pistons and remove the stock rev limiters and other useless stock shit you think you could give me a hand mabey over see my dumb ass?

I'll do a compression test but that just seems weird sinse it ran fine before the noss head and it has literally less than 5 minutes on it, when I did the head the pistons and cylinders looked almost new and not one scratch on the stock head I will get back to you guys on results of comp. test thanks.

Ok i took my shee to the dunes for the first time after installing my new noss head and it seemed to be running great until I headed up the mountain and the left cylinder just cut out completly it runs fine at low to mid rpm but under any stress it's just like the left side just shut's off I tried changing plugs and it did not help any ideas?
  17. After you get the adjustment screw where you want it "in for more tension out for less" you can eather like he said use lock tight or put another nut on to keep it tight and in place. good luck

I have a banshee with t5's and k&n's and ebc clutch and a trx 450r completly stock, I love them both so I really can't take sides, all I know is on pavement, straight drag race the 450r eats the shee out of the hole until about 4th like he said but the banshee does catch and pass it doesn't matter who rides what. BUT I just installed a NOSS machine head with 18cc domes on the shee and have not yet had a chance to test it out but I'm sure the results will be dramaticly different. What I do know is that these bikes are like apples and oranges you are comparing the best two stroke atv that ever rolled of the stealership floor that has not been improved on other than j arms to a arms since 87, to a new technology foratable machine in the new wide world of fourstroke race bikes, these bike both have their bennifits, on a track stock to stock the shee has no chance but at the dunes mod for mod the shee will eat the 450r it's all about what you like if you want a drag bike get a quadzilla or a shee if you want relialillaty and bottom end torq go with the 450's, rappy ect.
