  1. i meant to say 6000 feet sorry not 600
  2. I had the same problem man, i bought a pingel valve and the problem was solved and they look pretty trick also
  3. I am at almost 6000 feet and it goes up from there I live in the valley. So i would need a bel or a bgl needle right?
  4. I was at a 250 main at 600 feet with no airbox and t-6 pipes with v-force reeds and coolhead so you might be there or so.
  5. what is leaner than a cel needle? I am on the leanest clip and still need a little leaner.
  6. I am at a 148 main 42 pilot and a cel needle on the leanest clip. I was messing with it today and on the leanest clip it got a lot better but it still needs to be leaner, what is the needle leaner than a cel? I am gonna go to a 150 main because the plus was a little lighter than i like but the pilot is to fat still so I am going tommorrow to get some smaller pilots. It still bogs but it got better each time i moved the clip up, it was in the middle and i am on the highest one now. My gearing is 16/41
  7. well it seems like it is rich to me because when i am on hard pack dort road it bogs but if you hit some soft stuff it will rev out like it is getting to much fuel.
  8. In the first three gears its not really noticeable because it revs out so fast but in the top gears it bogs pretty bad in the middle, if the tires are spinning it seems ok but when its under a load like on pavement it bogs until it hits higher rpms. Whats my problem i am guessing needle, but is it to rich or to lean?
  9. My neighbor has a almost brand new crf450 and he is an ex motocrosser but in a drag race on the pavement and in the sand i can tear him up, and that was with my t-6 pipes and now that i am closer on my jetting and i have some shearers I know he doesn't stand a chance. He won't even race me anymore.
  10. could the coolant be leaking into my cylinders as well?
  11. In the front of my cylinders where the head and cylinders mate it seems to be leaking, There is a spot that looks like gas is coming out and the dirt is sticking to it. Does that sound like a leak, and how do i test for it?
  12. This is the exact same problem i am having. My plug was a yellow color and i have a bog right in the middle until i get up into the higher rpm range. How do i do a leakdown test?
  13. here is a pic of my plug on a WOT 6th gear plug check what you guys think? Also it bogs pretty good in the mid range and then cleans up when it get wound up? thats my needle correct? Which way do i move the clip? And how do i get to the clip an 35mm keihin air strykers any opinions and help would be appreciated.Or not i can never post pics on here. Anyways did a plug chop and the smoke ring was about 1.5mm and the color was brown but the electrode looked a yellow or real light brown color, again any input would be appreciated.
  14. The only nice thing would be that the pull would be less. And also you would never have to adjust it but in turn there are more o-rings and seals to go wrong with it. Go with the ASV levers and clutch cable they are nice and easier to tune and work on.
  15. I have a primary drive gold x ring chain and its the best chain i have ever had. I have a 421 cub with all the fixins such as 35mm carbs and shearer pipes and i run race gas and i can launch hard on pavement and hav never had a problewm with it
  16. I paid 4 dollars a piece for amin jets from magic racing and i think 5 each for pilots.
  17. Ok no the going rate here is 65 an hour for aluminum, But you will be charged about one hundred ragardless if it takes an hour. There are certain things that don't take that long to do such as this and its not worth the time it takes to do all the paperwork and preperation for just 65 bucks. Thats why I am saying it will be at least 100 bucks, maybe more if there is only one or two shops close to you.
  18. It cost me 85 bucks with shipping i think they are 78 by themselves, the hoses vent the carbs, it is supposed to make them better.
  19. Yep welding this kind of pot aluminum sucks but i do it all the time at my shop. Any tig welding shop should be able to do it. Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done cause it can, and don't let them do a crappy job and tell you thats just the way it comes out, you should get it back with a nice little bead on it for no more than 100 buck its really a 1 hour job.
  20. What pipes do you have? I have the shearer pipes and my carb top on the left hand side is pretty close, I just put a 3/4" spacer in the hangar mount to spece it out from the head and the carb tops and put some heat wrap arounf the pipes to keep the heat off the fuel lines and such. I reccomend leaving them long and fishing them down somewhere so they don't vent on top of your motor. I had a problem with the petcock and fuel lines on my 421 cub with the same carbs and just oppted for the pingel valve to be safe. It is all up to you on what to do. Better safe than sorry though.
  21. You can slide a 1/2" washer inside the tube and then get a bunch with a bigger head than the hole in the washer and they will come out rather easy that way.
  22. i am pretty sure you are not supposed to mix two different kinds of oils like that, just me don't do it run bel0ray gear saver 85w has always worked for me from 0 degrees to over a hundred in the summer
  23. do you have some pics of the side covers?
  24. I just got my pipes and jetting right and i was checking my spark plugs when i found that on the front of my cases and motor and on the back side of the pipe there was a black liquid in them and it looked kind of wet? is my exhaust o-rings leaking or is it my cylinder to case gasket it didn't do this before i switched pipes, please tell me its the exhaust o-rings and where can i get some.
  25. Thats exactly the clutch i have with my new 421 cub and no slipping so far, use all 6 hd springs.
