Where about in PA do you ride?? I've been to Tower City. It's alright. Really rocky. I might go back there in a couple weeks. But theres nothing better then the trails and sand quarrey's in Jersey. That's why everyone does it.

So does mine. The CRF was stock. I don't know about the KTM. I had all intentions of getting beat when those bikes lined up. All 3 of us had an even launch (nobody was sleeping). I pegged the throttle and dumped second gear (15/41 gearing). Both times I pulled on them out of the hole and kept them about 2 bikes back and held on to that lead. Both races were the same thing. From start to finish that throttle stayed pegged. I just grabbed the clutch just enough to shift and never let off the throttle. I DON'T F^*K AROUND! I DON'T BULLSHIT!

Drill out the rivits.

Advertise or not the cope are everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just hope there not there when you are. ATV"s bank big bucks for New Jersey. It's a shame New Jersey has no intentions to help their townspeople, just their pockets.

It's a shame you live so far away. I'd be happy to give you a demonstration. Yeah I know, 421 cub duner, you got power. All i'm saying is I did what I did. I beat both of them by about 2 bikes. Both times. Same result. I understand that it's hard to believe what everyone writes on here but i'm not some punk kid with pipes. I've been riding this bike since it was brand new in 02. I know how to ride it and I know how to launch it. Everything I have on this bike works perfect.

I ride at a spot about 2 miles from the 70/72 circle. Killer sand hills there. There's also Lacey off of 72 but I haven't been there in a while. They had killer hills and looong fire trails to ride on. Fish and game kicked us off the property where I parked off of rt. 539. There's plenty of other spots to park there. I just haven't been back there because most of my friends don't ride anymore.

Couple more pics: Guess i'll have to go there on a weekday.

It's a shame. Best riding spot I've ever been to. http://www.nj.com/southjersey/index.ssf/20...inal_tresp.html Here's some pics of the place:

Chain will tighten and loosen on its own?
4strokessuck replied to Keyser Soze's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Also, jack up the bike so the swingarm and rear tires hang freely. Wiggle the axle back and forth and up and down checking to see if there is any play where the swingarm meets the frame and where the axle comes out of the carrier. It may be bearing replacement time. Good luck. -
With the 20cc domes and the timing advance i'm right on the border. With the avgas, the bike doesn't have the low end lag, throttle response is better, and it likes to rev faster. Avgas has little odor to it compared to pump gas. It's also windshield washer fluid blue. When it burns, it smells like a capgun. The only downfall is it has less additives then pump gas so it evaporates fast so keep it in a sealed container and as little as you can in your bike when not in use. And when you're bike is sitting in your garage, make sure your fuel is off so you don't gunk up the carb bowls due to evaporation and mix oil buildup. I think right now the price ia about $5.60 a gal. which is way cheaper then VP at the stealership and the airport I go to is 10 mins. away and is open 7 days. I didn't have to rejet but i'd double check just to be sure. Good luck.

No. I just like to go fast. It's an addiction with these bikes.

Let's see, with my combo I have yet to lose to any 450 or 700. I have also knocked off a big bore (480 or 490 it think he said) YZF, a 700r Raptor with a pipe, K&N with no lid, and FMU, a piped CRF450 dirt bike, and a KTM sponsored pro rider on his KTM450 dirtbike. I don't just race them once. I'll beat them twice and then ask if they want any more. Take it from me, tires and your launch do make the biggest influence to winning the race. Launch in second gear and don't change your gearing untill you have some decent bolt ons and second gear becomes useless as well. Then you'll have to go 1 bigger on the crank to balance it out. Don't get carbs untill you either port or increace displacement. Bigger carbs actually slow down the velocity the air rushes into your cylinders resulting in loss of power. Pipes make the best improvement. Reeds give you more torque and a more powerful top end. Raise the compression with a head and 4th gear on just pulls all the way to the top. Bolt ons will get you there. I still have stock carbs and cylinders. Good luck. Oh yeah and practice, practice, practice. You're not gonna win if you don't know what you're doing.

use mine.

PC's are good. DMC's are snappier.

I made a 7" lowereing kit for the Banshee using some garage door opener parts. Basically it's just some cut and drilled 1/4" steel bars. Yes, it's a solid, no suspension lowering kit but it works great for street drags. I'm on my other pc, i'll post pics later if you want

I can't see how plastics can unscrew bolts. Try some loctite on the hardware, works for me. Good luck.

I guess i'll go too. Smaller domes, timing advance, and race gas, and i'm on the starting line ready. Gotta show the 4 brokes who's boss.

I talked a gun out of my friends hands once. He's doing fine and has a kid now.

I eat 450's for lunch. This past Sunday I raced one with some 470 or some big bore kitted Curtis Sparks piped yfz. The first race we launched even and I pulled about 3 bikes on him. The other race I was behind by a bike and a half and beat him again by a bike. I weigh about 190 lbs. and the other kid was smaller than me. I launch the hell out of second gear and flat shift her with the throttle pegged. Run that bike like your life's at stake. Shee can take it. Good luck.

What Size Gears Should I Go?
4strokessuck replied to flattrakker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
My bike runs better with Avgas. Revvs higher and pulls harder. Beat all the Banshees today, especially up top. I'm running 15/41 and use 6th gear on 20" tires. I've been using that gearing when all I had was pipes, reeds and filter (lid on). I do mostly trails and dirt roads but also ride sand quarries and dirt drag. I'll admit, it is a little overgeared in the soft sand but I manage. Hope this helps. Good luck. -
Cool vids. Looks like you had funn till the clutch incident.

As long as your bike doesn't break down again

Me and a couple friends will be heading out here to check it out. If anyone will be out there, Let me know. we'll meet up. Later.

Try going +1 on the crank sprocket for bigger gearing OR -1 on the rear sprocket for a smaller increase in topend and longer gearing. You were probably still spinning pretty hard even with the new tires right? Longer gearing helps put power down better by digging in faster. Careful, too much may bog your motor down. Good luck.
