  1. A lot of people dont run them, but I do like to run them because they are a recovery tank.
  2. It doesn't matter, you can ground both systems to the same place (chassis). A YFZ450 or a RZ350 work the same way. Both have AC ignition and both have a DC Charging sytem that grounds each prospective circuit to the same place (the chassis). I have done 3 DC conversions with battery setups on Banshees and never had an issue with the bike not running right with both grounds on the chassis.
  3. What size battery did you run? What brand stator were you using?
  4. Was there any particular reason why you didn't wan't to ground the the lighting circuit to the chassis? I would run the battery ground to the frame, and hook the reg/rec ground to the frame or battery. There is no need to isolate the ground circuit. What stator are you running that is 200w? I ran a stock stator with a floated ground and trail tech reg/rec on a 10ah batery and it was plenty of juice for the LED headlights, tail light, and underbody led pod lighting I ran. I just finished doing another one of these setups for a guy last monday on a banshee as well. We literally got about 3 days of riding at the dunes with that reg/rec we got off amazon before it quite working, and it ruined a battery due to a short in the reg/rec. We got a new battery and a trail tech unit, and it was good to go. Stator in all 3 bikes that I have done were stockers with floated grounds.
  5. Dont use that reg/rec from Amazon. We had a couple of them go bad. Use the Trail Tech one. What size battery are you going to be running?
  6. I had one also, but I am also going to stay out of this.
  7. In Coos Bay at the Tug Boat monument they have a shitter dump and it only requires a $1 donation.
  8. Mine were awesome. I ran the YFZ450 stock shocks, and then put the floats on with my stellar front end. The difference was night and day.
  9. Ken Tsudrada owns that bike, it has been around since about 1992 or so. I saw it back in 1993 at sandfest (it has one of the Original JDSS big bore cylinders on it). I saw it again for the first time in 18 years this last memorial day at Coos Bay. I also saw this thing. It was one of the orignal JD Racing 350's from the Dirtwheels cover shoot back in 1993 at Sandfest.
  10. I need to know absolutely everything. Even elevation, fuel, # of paddles on the bike, etc.......
  11. I can program one with the specs, I have done quite a few.
  12. on a bigger cc motor(421) the 296's made a couple more hp than the 304's. The 304's tested few db's quieter though.
  13. I think I will probably just work on banshees and build bikes for other people after I get the RZR. I do a lot of shooting, and I want to focus more on reloading and hunting after I get the RZR done up.
  14. This bike is one of a kind. It is turn key, buy it and ride it. Everything has already been done. It is very fast, handles whoops/turns extremely well, and it is very reliable. Feel free to ask for more pictures, or videos of it in action. This bike has only been ridden in the sand, and it has only been ridden twice since all the powdercoating and work on the plastics has been done. Bike will also come with a spare grill, dirt tires for front/rear, and the air pump for the front fox float shocks. Serious inquiries only! I am selling it because I want to get a Polaris RZR XP. Feel free to ask questions. 15. Slowjet? Are you talking about the pilot jet?
  16. You have to heat up small bolts that have loctite on them. Why would you loosen the screws to adjust the gap? I just bend it closer on the tab.
  17. the same price as one for the 4mm crank but minus the crank.
  18. You need to post your nozzle size (the thing that said 175 on it) P4, P8? Your main jet may be too small. You pilot jet is too small. Should be at least a 20-25.
