  1. jsd racing and dyno dave roberts have had there hands in it. Porting is a midrange dune port. It's got a 2 into 1 intake with a single pwk 35mm carb. I think we got the gearing at 13/44 or so. Whats the deal with everyone running huge front sprockets? I have 13/46 on my bike.
  2. That bike they are on is thee fastest 4 mill stroker I have ever ridden.
  3. I was under the impression the pt mids would redline around 9k rpm. We had a 4 mill dyno tested that had them on it, and it made power to 10,500 rpm. I was suprised and amazed.
  4. I got it, who wants to know how to get it in 20 minutes?
  5. So what size needle did you end up with?
  6. Thanks.
  7. They dont purge flex fuel vehicles because they are 4 strokes. They dont use the fuel with 2 stroke oil in it to lubricate the bottom end of the engine. Not to mention flex fuel vehicle fuel systems are refitted with non-corrosive materials compared regular gm vehicles of the same caliber (I.E. Stainless steel fuel rails and lines). Apparently you didn't watch the video I posted a few pages back from my gm trainning courses. I know your talking about ethanol, and my stance still stays the same. Adding some more gasoline to the mixture does not change the fact that the ethanol is still hydroscopic. It will still absorb water in your vented fuel tank and corrode things in your engine and fuel system.
  8. Toomey did two good things in their history span. They made T5 pipes cause they copied the fmf gold series, and they made some good needles for stock carbs. Other than that they suck. I called the tech department there about 4 weeks ago and the young kid on the phone didn't sound sure of the advice he gave me at all.
  9. Your smoking crack! As long as you still have e85 in your tank and in the bike, you need to purge and flush. Just cause you mixed gas with it, doesn't save your behind from having to flush it out.
  10. I don trun stock heads anymore, but I think I remember there being "UP" stamped into the stock headgaskets. Did you torque it down with a torque wrench?
  11. Right now I run an EEL, and I am going to try and EEM. I haven't hit the wall where it starts running worse yet.
  12. The trinity on my uncles bike is at least 10 years old and does not have a crossover tube in it either.
  13. Alot of times people will say they cant feel a difference when they change the needle position. So I will take the bike from them, full rich the needle and ride it, then full lean it and ride it again. That gives me a good indicator of which direction to go with the current needle, and lets me know if it needs to be changed out with a different size needle.
  14. You also keep talking about low vacuum issues. I, nor anyone else I know with this intake has never had any idle or vac. issues with this setup. Because the carb feeds both cylinders, it has constant vacuum being pulled on it while running. That's why trinity calls it a constant velocity intake manifold. We just put in the right size pilot jet, start the bike and adjust the idle screw.
  15. Ok, I did. Nothing on the left, nothing on the right, and nothing in the middle. Sorry, no crossover equalizer tube in a trinity cv intake. I stuck my inspection mirror all the way in and felt around with my finger. There is no need for a crossover balance tube in a single carb intake. It will equalize in the giant open space shown here in the first picture, right behind were the carb goes.
  16. None of the two into 1 intakes come with a crossover tube. I have a trinity on my bike and a cascade on my cousins, uncles, best friends, and my best friens dad's bike, neither intake has it. The equalizer tubes only come on twin carb setups. You dont need to equilize a single carb intake, both cylinders pull the fuel and air mixture from the same place in front of the carb where it dumps into the intake.
  17. You dont run a crossover tube on a 2 into 1. Its the same intake manifold for both cylinders. So, there isn't a way for the 2 into 1 to inherently run one cylinder leaner than the other.
  18. Who the hell came up with the one cylinder leaner thing? Thats impossible!
  19. plug off the fuel tank breather hose, turn the tank upside down and remove the valve to check the size.
  20. I would use a pyrometer.
  21. I am under the presumption the small block is a setup for drag motors. It was made with big intake, decent sized bore, and a large exhaust port to desimate the equivelant cub platform setups. Then there is the big block for some real power.
  22. Ahhhh yes, the underground Banshee drag races of Miami. Who can resist the feathered boas, thongs, clubs, and bright lights of the underground drag racing circuit in Miami. :ermm: I live in Washington. I ride 5-10 times a summer at the playground of some of the most reknowned sand drag banshees in the United States. Most of the fastest bikes out there are built by companies based out of the Northwest. I have never heard or seen such a thing as you are speaking of.
  23. We have a set of JJandA racing 3 spoke front hubs and wheels for sale.
  24. I work for GM, I just took the IDL class on Flexfuel Vehicles. The flex fuel rigs are designed to run on E85 or regular gasoline. They have stainless steel fuel lines and other upgraded fuel system components to run the E85 fuel specifically. If you dont retrofit your atv, then you need to purge and flush the fuel system after use. Water in E85 makes it highly acidic and corrosive, it will eat rubber, aluminum, and magnesium. Here's a clip of the vid. Flex Fuel vid clip
