Matt, thanks for clearing that up, but Im not the type to file a report/claim or whatever.. Was never a thought or a option as far as Im concerned.. Some money back would be nice though.. But, being that he hasn't answered a call or text makes it clear, its not gonna happen. So, he may or may not have known what was done to the crank- Whats his excuse for everything else??? My opinion is, he was perfectly aware of what he was doing, clearly didn't care and its not the first time he has done this.. Pure ignorance-People like him should be banned from this site, this shouldn't be tolerated. Members should have the option to make a bad deal right, If they choose not to, they should be BANNED.. Is this dude a friend of yours?

So im assuming i wrote that wrong and apologize but im sure SLEEPER06 will chime back in when he gets off of work and tell you exactly how far out the crank was.. Mull, you guys did nothing wrong, Carl just stated that the head was pulled off with intentions on having you guys do some work on it. But we kinda got derailed with all the other BS that went on during the tear down. Bottomline, motor appeared fine but turned into a nightmare. This dude cant be trusted, this isnt the first funny stunt that he pulled.. From what i heard, both ginger and NYUK had some issues with him Joe

Excuse me for not respecting the person that lied and is continuing to make excuses, thanks for pointing out that a engine is a mechanical device though. Motor is being bored bc it's NEEDS to be bored, not bc I feel like spening another 100.00 bucks and wasting 3 bore sizes I never asked you to take the motor back, and I'm pretty sure it's irrelevant that the parts are worth what I paid, bottom line is that your a liar, guys on the HQ shouldn't trust you and you are still trying to cover your ass and make excuses.. What don't you get? Shit wasn't even assembled correctly, wrong hardware was used and shit wasn't even tight I'll gladly post pictures of the flywheel when I make it back to SLEEPER06 place! Did you miss the part where I stated the crank was NOT WELDED like you claimed AND was .3000 out of true Yea do keep your excuses coming
-
Dude, you don't wanna own up that's fine, you would have never ran the motor bc it wouldn't have ran The flywheel is mangled, bolts where loose, the crank was nearly impossible to spin etc Me telling you that I'm having the cylinders ported has nothing to do with it, motor wasn't touched or opened till this past Monday I was sending you the pictures as we were taking it apart. Yes pistons where brand new, no doubt there But the cylinders needed to be bored out, grooves and scarring on the walls, they are being bored .30 over now bc You cut corners Looks like you poured a gallon of sealant inside the motor, you can say it was your spare motor but like i said befor it would have never ran The clutch wasn't even assembled correctly and there were Allen head bolts behind the basket hitting the rivets on the back side of the basket This motor was going in a bike im takin to Glamis in feb, you think I was gonna make that trip without going through the motor!! Your crazy dude Your telling me that if no1 wrenched on it, you would have taken it back? That's bulkshit bc you were ducking my calls and texts, you haven't been on this site since October Si clearly one of your HQ girlfriends notified you about this thread! Karma is a bitch pal
-
Cylinders where stock bore, now going to .30 over Sorry Matt I'll be keeping them, my builder has a new set of pistons hes throwing in there for free
-
That chick is gross Yea I heard hes a cop
-
These are some good shocks, NYCMARINE had these on his shee and that thing was smoother than a caddy joe
-
I guess, they are brand new. Thanks Tyler, i seen her dude. They look like brother and sister Def not a good look
-
700.00 Im trying to stay positive, I basically paid for cases, tranny and jugs. I will replace everything else. Joe
-
He said he assembled it himself, which i believe bc it was rediculous the stuff we where finding, allen head bolts behind the clutch basket hitting the rivets. Just non sense after non sense. Trust me, if he told me he wasnt sure of the assembly or suggested i go through the motor than fine, I prob would have still bought it bc of what he told me was done to it. I was banking on a good stock crank true and welded, virgin cylinders, brand new pistons etc Now the motor will be .30 over bc of the scarring on the walls Bottom line is he lied, He finally answered my texts today and says " the motor was sold as is, crank, clutch and everything is fine" Stand up guys huh??? Like i have nothing better to do with my time than to text him a dozen pictures than make this thread on the HQ
-
I did turn the motor over, it was tight but just figured it was bc i was turning it over while it was sitting on a milk crate He must have just finished assembling it or something but once all the shit seeped in and dried up nothing wanted to move!! Everything else checked out and seemed fine I know it's a risk buying used stuff and I'm okay with that, but seems like no1 is honest these days, can't trust anyone and this dude is a cop I hear

So i was in the market for a banshee motor for a project, I come across this motor on craigslist in flemington NJ- email the guy and exchange numbers- we texted back and forth the details and worked out a price and i would pick it up. Now i have all the texts to back up every single detail, This is what Im told, motor was built as a spare motor and all parts where purchased from members on the HQ- stock stroke- stock bore cylinders with a brand new topend, crank trued and welded, everything is good and motor hasn't been started yet. So, i meet with this dude on November 25th at his house, at the time not knowing he was a member on here till i showed up and he was wearing a HQ hoodie, anyways i look the motor over, we do a leak down test, it leaked VERY little, not enough to be worried at the time. I figured id end up tearing it apart anyways. Yesterday SLEEPER06 pulled the jugs off to begin porting them for me, when i got to his house he brought to my attention that the motor would not spin, it actually took 5 guys to make the motor spin, dude used so much three bond he locked the motor up. Now we are forced to split the cases, we start on the flywheel side, pull the side cover off and first thing we notice is a castle nut (american size) holding the flywheel on, we get that nut off and behind that is a plastic garden hose washer.. Also the nut was basically hand tight. Pull the flywheel off and the thing is mangled, looked like it was smashed with a sledge hammer, SLEEPER06 said it appeared that someone tried prying on it rather than using the proper tool to remove it. Now the clutch side, start disassembling and the clutch basket was shot must have been 1'' of slop from left to right on the basket and gear. Finally get the cases split and the crank is a disaster, center bearings wear frozen we couldnt get them to move at all- outter bearings were caked with glue and rust. Carl put the crank on his true stand and it was .3000 out and WAS NOT welded. There were brand new pistons in the bike which are now paper weights, there were grooves in the cylinders they need to be bored out and new top end needs to be purchased. So basically now I have to pay for a new Crank, top end, bore, clutch basket, new seal and gasket kit Thanks 12 0clock Pimp your a real honest stand up Guy- These pictures do no justice, i didnt get a picture of the flywheel or the jugs.

Not by any means was that directed towards you, I did specify that if his #'s are true and he putting down 80Hp the problem is elsewhere, possibly the rider, gearing, tire size and/or psi, swinger and suspension setup etc Joe
-
Theres no doubt that some CPI's, 33's and good reeds will make a huge difference, Im gonna say that with your current mods 79hp is sorta far fetched. JMO But 450's once they are worked can be a handfull, Just alittle example. My yfz450 with your basic bolt ons, DRD full exhaust, KN filter, cam mod, YZ needle, zip tie mod and thats basically it- I have put a hurting on a few stock stroke ported banshee's- there are a few members on here than can vouch for my 450 being beastly ( zach45, Infamous039, SD1026, NYCMarine) Alot of guys come on here saying the 450's are shit, they actually run quit well once tuned/setup correctly!! BUT, if your bike is really putting down those #'s the problem might be else where. My 4mil shee is somewhere in the 80's and worked 450's arent touching me!!

ouch But ya right Sean
