  1. what makes you think that. lets see i was riding them while they where still in production. as for as saying all r's are slow no am sure there are alot of fast ones but not in this state. thats the first one ive seen in atleast 8-10 years aronud here.
  2. i was riding down at the pit today when a guy on a 89 250r showed up. we screwd around for a while i couldt get him to race me. well we ended up stopping and talking, i asked him how it went he said try it. ok . i just met this guy and he lets me take his bike oh well. i was not to empressed this thing was no peice of shit either it had a pro circut pipe and some other mods he said it was board 30 thousths bigger card and some other stuff nothing major it was a super clean bike. i took it around the pit i was getting on it pretty good to, it didnt seem like it had any power band at all, it was very faint. dont get me wrong it went good and i would take it over a 4poke any day but it was no banshee. bottom line that wouldt have even been a race....
  3. i just did the same thing to mine today. rode all day no problems
  4. thats exactly what mine did i had a whole petal break off one of my reeds. mine blew fuel back thru the carb soaking my air filter in fuel.
  5. ya i did. i got one of those quick adjust ones. looks ten times better than stock i also got a pair of black tag x5's. i just had to unplug that damn thing. after i cut solder and shrink tube it and taped it up in the harness and put the fuel tank back on. thank you
  6. just removed my stock clutch lever and all the parking brake crap. the two wires for the parking brake safty switch do i want to hook those together or not? thank you

  9. mine did the same exact thing except right side. on mine it was the reeds.
  10. i got my brothers shee tranny all together and ready to put the halves together, i put the shifter on and tried shifting thru the gears it feels real sticky, not smooth and kinda binds unless i spin the output shaft where the spocket goes while im shifting. then it will go thru all 6 gears ok. i tried it on mine witch is all together and running and i cant shift thru all mine either with out rocking the machine. do you guys think this is a problem or do you think its ok? i doubled checked all the forks and the numbers all thats right. thank you

  12. on the top of the piston it reads j13k8 1.50mm 513p6 cd is there a way to i.d. this piston?
  13. i am rebuilding my brothers shee motor. had to get new tranny and new used cylinders, the new cylinders are .060 over the seller said it only had like 5 hours on the piston and rings you can still see the hone marks in the cylinders, pistons look to be in great shape. was going to just rering it but im having a hard time finding just rings, and im not sure what kind of pistons they are can you mismatch name brands? i found the pro lite kit on flea bay for 140 shipped, but he already owes me 400 for some of the other parts. was wondering if i could get away with using the the used rings.

  15. tore apart my brothers shee engine for crank seals, and wow what a f@#$%ing mess. the first thing we found was both jugs are junk because someone had done some horrible home style port work, and must of knicked the inside of the cylinder wall because a ring was bent, destoyed the piston as well, but it still ran like that we where going to do the top end soon anyway. so we keep going and pulled off the clutch cover and find a little washer didnt know what it was at first, but after we pulled off the clutch basket, we found it was for the kick start idle gear the only thing holding on that gear was the clutch basket. so we get the cases split and find theres no cir clips on the output shaft that must be why the end of the output shaft where that idle gear goes was sheard off making that shaft junk.the cir clip on the right side of the crank was missing as well. the good part is it dont seem to have any case damage. we got a new tranny and top end of flea bay, had to go to the dealer ship and order new cir clips waiting on them now to put it back together.i got the shift cam back in and the shifting forks in, and the shifter shaft i think thats about as far as i can go with out those damn cir clips. anyone have any tips on puting this back together? seems pretty strait forward and i have two books.
  16. ive heard of haeder wrap for headers on cars, suppose to reduce under hood temps. they sell it at like jegs and summit.
  17. im looking for a throttle cable for the tors elimination kit with stock thumb throttle. i think i might of found it at toomeys web site, but it dont clearly say. does anyone know if thats the right one? or know where i can get one?? thank you

  19. i know this is kinda of a hard question with out actually seeing the cyclinders, but check out the pics and tell me if you think these are junk or not. i want to send them out to get ported but someone has already tried. their is a nick in one of the cyclinders that caused the rings to grab and bend but did not gouge the cyclinder wall.
  20. ive been running yamalube 32:1 since ive had my shee with no problems at all. i was at the parts store the other day and they sell ams oil i bought a bottle of the dominator racing oil on the back it says premix is 50:1 seems a little lean to me i relize that the ams oil is a full sythetic compared to the semi sythentic yamalube. does anybody else run this oil? what do you mix it at?

  23. i keep looking at this cub set up on ebay, i dont know how to set up a link or i would. it comes with cub cylinder with 68 mm bore a 4 mil crank and pistons for 1350 buy it now. the sellers name is in2glamis. im sure everybody know the kit im talking of. my questions are is this a good price? is this a good seller to do buisness with? what else will i need to go with this? i have t5s for pipes the rest of the motor is stock to my knowledge. thanks

  25. well, me and my brother went out riding at a sand pit yesterday and his machine a bone stock 89 shee started running like shit we started heading back to the truck then it just started pouring white smoke out the right side and it smells like burning alluminum. was going to start tearing it apart sometime this weekend was just wondering what went wrong. thanks
