  2. i dont think its in the clutch. because on mine the arrows are the same place we have his. i think its in the cable it just has to much throw. is there anything that goes between the cable and the hold down on the crank case or does the cable simply rest up against it? i didnt see anything on mine,i was trying to avoid taking off my cable and trying it on his but at this point its worth a try i think. im going to the dealership tomarrow to get a stock yamaha cable.. thank you
  3. im positive the ball bearing is in there thnk you though
  4. sorry guys, i guess that write up was a little confusing i just re read it and confused myself, anyhow the problem started with a hard pulling clutch lever i mean EXTREMLY hard. 15 mins is all you wanted and then your hand killed, plus it had a real shitty pull to it. now after a new cable and clutch.. the cable has to much slop cant get enough adjustment out of the perch, adjusted all the way out it just starts to pull the clutch linkage. if i can get the slop out of the cable it would solve my problem.. thank you
  5. hi everyone, my brother has a 89 banshee he just picked up pretty cheap. when he got it, the clutch was real hard to pull. ok so we thought it was the clutch cable we went down to the local shop and got a new one( motion pro) put it on and it would not adjust up right. so we thought it needed to be adjusted from the pressure plate after noticing that the alingment arrows were off and yes we held tension on the linkage. so we pulled the cover off and followed the book to a tee on adjusting the clutch and we got the arrows lined up perfact still couldnt get it to adjust right so now we assume the clutch is junk. we get a new clutch kit (tusk) put it in line the arrows up again still nothing. its like the throw of the cable is to long so we think we might have the wrong cable we go to motion pro web site look up the number its right. so we get to looking at the old cable and notice its alittle different on the case side it has like two inches of thread and two nuts well some one took some pvc pipe and made like a 3/4 inch shim, which is about what we need to make this adjust up right, but the new cable is different it has like a plastic washer that sits on the right side of the u shaped peice where it bolts down on the crank case. are we missing something here or what? I dont know. we have done searchs here and on other sites and have done tons of reading i cant figure it out please help..... Thank you
