+10 is kinda long for a 150lb rider and dirt.. Also.. rigid chassis setups provide more traction.

Yah that bike got me, when we raced you'd jump me off the line by 3-4 bikes and I had to play catch up. that race we finished side by side I left in 1st and short shifted 2. It was better.. but you still smoked me off the line. As the day went I got better at getting it off the line. I started hanging my ass off the back of the seat.. lol. It really needed a gear change.. but.. I dont like to wrench when i get to the dunes unless I have too... or its really easy fix. lol. Slim rode my bike later that nite.. I think he was faster on it then I was!

JL hands down.. Not only does he make a sweet bumper.. but he's fun as hell to hang out and bull shit with. I had alot of fun joking around with him at the HQ ride.

Actually.. there was a passion 421 gas cub doing pretty damn good out there beating some bigger builds on alky. To me that was pretty impressive all things considering if anyone even knew the story behind that bike. To me this race wont prove anything anyways and is nothing but drama... Everyone knows I'm 100% neutral in this whole soap opera.. The race was scheduled for saturday and neither Shearer or SRP made passes on saturday. There was some pretty fast stuff out there. Like Todd said.. Everyone lost.. there was not one bike out there that was untouchable.

ive seen this bike kickin ass on more then1 occasion. proven setup here guys. worth every penny.

Todd, Silver lake is SOOO comercialized its not funny.. its more of a tourist attraction then a riding area. So LS was definitely a new experience for me. Well worth the Drive.

Nick.. your gonna shit yourself when you see this place.. its NOTHING like silver lake... If i had to compare.. Silver Lake is like NYC compared to waynoka. The Sand dunes is literally in the middle of no where. That small grocery store in town will have just about everything you'll want.. other then beer.. lol

I disagree with this... I've rebuilt my banshee 3 times and replaced a crank and havn't touched my 450 since 03'.. When both bikes are properly maintained.. the 4 strokes will have less repairs. Top ends cost the same to replace.. but.. you should change it half as often with a 4 stroke.. which makes the 4 strokes actually cheaper. The heads shouldn't require service (besides routine valve maintenance) unless there was another problem. that wasn't caught. Also factor in replacement reeds.. which could be up to 120 every 3 yrs or so. I have both a banshee and a YFZ450.. I like them both.. They each have their own place. I wouldn't use repair price as a deciding factor.
