if you want to do it your self then go right ahead.i my self have had many motors built for me,i would not even attempt to start grinding my jugs,i have no idea about exhaust duration, transfer angles,blowdown,ect,ect,.a lil clean up port i could do.but for a reliable port job i would leave to the pros,my 2000, with a port job pushing 75 ponies,lasted 2 years same pistons and rings,beating the ever loving dog shit out of it weekly.reliability along the lines of a stocker.
