  1. i need to get the jetting sorted on my shee but im not confident at all! is it ok to just keep using slightly bigger jets till the shee bogs down, then use one size smaller?? ive heard many people say this is the easiest way to rejet but want to make sure im not goin to cause any damage! also, what position do i want the needles in whilst im jetiin the carbs?? will it matter enormously if i leave the air filter off when jetting as my filter set up is a bitch to get on and off!! cheers for any help, i really need to get her sorted stu

  11. yeah but on dirtbikes you dont need to hang onto the bars in the same way as on a quad. id say try out the twist and make sure you give it enough time to get used to it as it is very different!! but i prefer it now to the thumb unit stu

  13. have any of your buddys got shees?? if so just "borrow" their bike for a day and swap over the flywheels to check your theory. if that doesnt work it sounds like youll be in the garage swapping bits till shee fires! thats just shite luck dude stu
  14. if you have aftermarket carbs, i got pwk35's, and a twist throttle do you still need the idle kit or is it only for stock carbs?? stu
  15. i can usually get about an hour "n a bit" out of a frsh tank of gas.... and here in the UK that tank costs about $20 without the oil!! i need to move to a cheaper country!! stu
  16. i had that idea too!! but the gap wasn't that small hence the post here when i flipped the reeds the gap reduced but there was still a gap!! surely the cages cant be at fault as both of them are the same...??? im stuck!! cheers stu
  17. i have pyramid racing reeds and cages on my shee and while cleaning the carbs the other day i inspected the reeds. there is a small gap between the reeds and cages, in the manual it says there should be no gap, is this just for stock reeds or is it time to invest in some new reed petals? cheers stu

  20. i tried starting the shee up today, shee hasnt been run for a few weeks as ive been working nights unfortunately. went to kick her and nothing! there is a spark but im not convinced its as strong as it should be. although the gas has been sitting round for a while... u reckon shee will start with fresh premix?? this is the first thing i shall try but i cant get to the gas station today. any ideas???? if the new gas doesnt work what could be making her produce a weaker spark?? stu
  21. i love kayaking. i hope to paddle all over the world but have only been to Norway, Sweden, France, Italy and UK. oh and my cbr400!! stu

  23. if you want any work done on your engine, speak to Dan aka Backcountry on these forums or Martin Saint. i think those two people are the best people to speak to about banshee motors! stu
