  1. Did two runs with my bolt on shee w/15 front tooth-- ran first run 82.1mph st 14.4sec and was really feathering the throttle--didn't want a melt down and second run 84.4 at 14.1 sec--held it open a little longer and less feathering--was not used to launching on such a sticky surface and took it easy on both starts-only time I have ever took anything down the track-- it was awesome!! -i bought a 16 tooth but its still in the package as we never went back--was at US41 in indiana about 8 years ago when they would have street car chaos. I love it when someone says their quad goes 100mph and they have stock gearing and just a set of pipes!!!
  2. pm sent on hubs and rotor
  3. I will be planning a ride in september sometime--have 3 to 4 guys going with
  4. Well went on my trip--only rode one day 108 miles and fished the other two--Buddy and brother were wore out after first day. Left cabin at 230 and made it back around 930 and stopped 3 times along the way-The trail system we were on even went through a golf course--had to wait for people to tee off a bluff(I was like the trail goes right through the golf courseWTF---pretty cool!!)-I was surprised how the yfz 450 of the group gassed up and only put in 1.8 gal while I put in 3.4 on the shee in 50 miles of riding--and I wasn't riding it like a banshee--just was taking it easy. Shee always thirsty! I will put my 15tooth front sprocket on next year for a long gear--was in 6th alot just cruisin. On our safari seen 9 deer, 2 snakes, 1 turkey and 4 black bear. Was awesome to see a mamma bear with two cubs go into the woods and just chillin in the brush watchin us as we took a break to watch them. Had a blast!!! Even had the cooler on the 6 pack rack! Cant wait for next years trip. Overall the bigger tank was cheap insurance for this type of riding as this was the smaller loop we went on as the longer loop would of been a heck of lot more miles but would of stopped more for gas. The big tank will be staying on my shee. I will put a pic up if i ever figure it out-LOL
  5. Cant wait for my boy to get older--hes 3 1/2!!! We went to our fishing club and had fun at the beach with our 2 kids. Going riding in Marinette county wisconsin this coming weekend--been a few years since Ive been up north fishing and 4wheeling!!
  6. If I run 50/50 My bike is not as peppy-ran straight 110oct at dunes once and couldn't even drag bike was boggin that bad..-my bike likes 93 oct and I add a two gallons to a 6 gallon jug when mixing just to be safe. 19cc domes/single carb with all bolt ons at sea level-500Ft.
  7. Just bought a 5.5 clarke tank off CL and installed it on shee--looks awesome --added a bunch of other stuff as well. Have a trip planned next month in northern wisconsin/Pembine-Dunbar/-Marinette county. Hoping to log on 120-150 miles per day on my trip. Looking to see how many miles anyone has gone with a oversized fuel tank or how many miles on a stock tank and I can do the math. Mostly flat/smooth trails/ fire road, etc. There are a few gas stations at some towns but no race gas-I run 4 gal93 oct and 2 gallons of 100oct or higher--I will bring a 6 gallon jug of race gas and do a mix at mroning fillup. -I was thinking should I knock down my timing to stock--at +4 now with 19cc domes/single 35 carb. My compression is not sky high--last rebuild was 04 for me. I will be getting rebuild over winter. Nothing like WOT dunes--just trails. Did a search and nothing popped up with tank range. Thanks
  8. i have same setup--even same sand tires--run same fuel mix but 32-1. I have run stock and also a 15 tooth front----I like to keep it in same gear when riding and the long gear ratios with 15 front. Stick with stock and go from there. 40:1 is leaner mix/less oil than 32 to 1. FYI 04blushee
  9. black front plastics(cut or uncut) and IMS pegs---would need pics and price to 60436--thanks Steve
  10. would color front plastics and how much--zip 60436
  11. used to go the dunes 8 or 9 times a year before having kids-3year old boy and daughter just turned 1. me and two other buds would split a yearly campsite at John Gurney park in Hart Mi (10 miles away)with the one guys 30 foot trailer--it was sweet for about 4 years but that group has slowly split---they are too old now !!! Haven't been in 2 years and would love to get back---nothing better on a shee than roosting some sand!!! I only ride a few times a year now but will post up when i ride--i have truck/trailer and have no problem meeting up and riding hey shadow---you get another banshee
  12. pm sent---thanks--give me a email back
  13. did you get another shee(I hope) or just sticking to dirt bikes?? Was looking forward to hitting up badlands alot more than previous years.
  14. i got my shee back in 03 with a single 35 no aribox----had to run it with the choke on it was so lean--white plugs!! had 165 mains!!!!!--went on trinity site and it suggested 175-185 mains--i put a 185 main in and worked my way down--with 185 plugs were wet almost and black in color---after a few more tests i ended up with 175-178-plugs and come out perfect color every year--(cant remember since 03 but its been the same since then). I started my wrenching experience on my first quad--blaster-16 years old with no experience or knowlegde what so ever. It takes time but man did I learn alot from my blaster-wasnt a great site like this for info==- i ran it so lean the whole head pipe turned rainbow--that was fun. Having a single carb on a banshee is the most novice setup you can have. When I ride fast trails that have tons of puddles i wish i had a air box but i cut out a oval of a two-liter bottle and slide it over the filter to help from the filter getting soaked. Bolt your carb--see what company you bought it from suggests for jets with your mods and do plug checks/common sense---you'll get it.
  15. Im lucky to ride 3 times a year-LOL. Works steelers duals is what I have and are fine. Just got a 5.5 gal gas tank for some WI trail riding this year I hope to do!!!
  16. Joliet-Rockdale area---Will be hopefully going to badlands more this year!
  17. I have his a arms and he made a swinger for buddies raptor--Gary told my buddy he was gonna put a ad in back of dirtwheels mag back in the day 04-05 but it must of never happened. I beleive he worked on aviation stuff. He was the guy back in the day for a arms and stuff was top-notch. He was a great guy to deal with. I was wondering the same thing a year or two ago-what happened to him
  18. I haven't had mine on since I bought shee 10 years ago--is that roller necessary ---I did put a TM slider on the front that works great tho.
